The last time Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid met was to determinate who will be the UEFA Champions League king in 2014; now they will meet for in the first leg of the Spain Super Cup, this Tuesday at 5 PM ET at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium.

There’s a small controversy about who will be the goalkeeper for Real Madrid in this game; Iker Casillas made a huge mistake in the Champions League final that almost cost his team the title.  Madrid signed Costa Rican Keylor Navas this summer, but it will be Casillas who starts.

“Iker will play tomorrow. There might be changes between the sticks for Friday’s game, but I’m not thinking about Friday for now,” coach Carlo Ancelotti said.

“We were going with the same strategy as last year. At certain moments in time during the game, we may change something, but the general idea is the same as always,” he added.

Atletico had a tremendous season in 2013-14, but they couldn’t win the Champions League final, and they might see this one as a revenge despite they won’t admit it.

“We are not out for revenge after the Champions League final. Rather, it’s an opportunity to win a title,” Captain Gabi said. “We are all eager to get going. It’s an important title that we’ve never won. The team is on great form.”

The Spanish Super Cup odds have Real Madrid as the favorite at -170, and Atletico Madrid is at +425; the draw was listed at +260.
