Manchester United (+180) vs. Chelsea (+140) (Draw +240)

Chelsea are off to a strong start this season. The Blues are undefeated in both the Champions League and the BPL. However, they will face a hard test next Sunday, October 26, when they visit Old Trafford to play Manchester United (11:00 a.m. Eastern).

Given Chelsea’s current unbeaten streak (and Man U’s recent struggles), Chelsea enter as favorites. A Chelsea win is listed at +140; the Red Devils are +180 to win; and the draw sits at +240.

In the head-to-head history, Man. U and Chelsea have met on 152 occasions, and Man U leads the series with 63 wins and 47 losses. However, United hasn’t beaten Chelsea at Old Trafford since 2011.

After crushing Maribor (6-0) in the UEFA Champions League midweek, the captain of the Blues, John Terry, spent some time talking about Sunday’s game against the Red Devils. Despite United’s slow start to the season, Terry isn’t taking the match lightly.

“They’re still a very good side with world-class players in their team. Results haven’t really gone their way so far but we’re still aware at Old Trafford it’s a hostile atmosphere and they’ve got great support behind them. We’ll go there expecting them to be very good,” said the defender to Chelsea’s website.

On the other side, Manchester United has looked very average all season; in it last match, United could only muster a draw against West Brom (2-2). However, according to midfielder Ashley Young, they have confidence that they are talented enough to stop Chelsea.

“We’ve got tough games coming up with Chelsea and [Manchester] City, but we still go into those games with confidence as high as it always is and we’ll be looking to get some points from those matches,” Young said to the Manchester United website.

In the BPL table, Chelsea sits at the top with 22 points (7W, 1D, 0L) and a +15 goal difference. Meanwhile, Manchester United is in sixth with 12 points (3W, 2D, 2L) and +3 in the differential.
