Liverpool (-162) vs. West Ham (+450) (Draw +250)

Liverpool will aim to stretch their EPL unbeaten streak to seven today when they face West Ham at Anfield (10:00 a.m. Eastern).

In the moneyline, the Reds are favored, listed at -162, while West Ham is at +450 and the draw +250.

Liverpool has historically dominated the Hammers with 67 wins and just 25 losses. West Ham has been absolutely futile at Anfield, last winning in 1963. Since that time, they have lost 30 and drawn 11 in Merseyside.

Liverpool’s recent EPL unbeaten streak has the team poised to contend for a Champions League position. However, it hasn’t been all sunshine for the Reds lately, as they dropped a midweek game to Chelsea (1-0), eliminating the team from the Capital One Cup.

“Of course it hurts because you put so much into it. You saw at the end, they were dead on their feet in extra time – we had nothing else,” said Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers after the loss. “For us to be successful, at times it’s got to hurt as well. In this competition, in particular, we’ve started to get our flow in our football back again.”

Liverpool are on 35 points and have moved up to eighth in the standings (just five points back of fourth-place Manchester United). The Hammers actually sit one spot (and one point) ahead of Liverpool in the table (36 points).

But with Liverpool starting to play their best soccer of the season – and the Hammers traditionally terrible at Anfield – look for the Reds to come out on top today.
