After drawing their first UEFA Champions League match of the season against Schalke 04 (1-1), Chelsea will try to continue their good streak in the Barclays Premier League. However, this week they have a difficult adversary in front, Manchester City, and the game seems like a great one on this fifth week of the Premier. The match will be next Sunday September 21 in the Etihad Stadium, at 11:00 AM ET.

The Manchester City vs Chelsea odds are pretty even, but the sky blues are the favorites to win the game at +130 in the money line. In contrast, the first place, Chelsea is at +200, and a draw is paid with +240.

Chelsea arrives at the game as the first place of the league with 12 points, after a perfect performance (4W, OD, 0L). In addition, they have an impressive +9 in their goal difference product of an amazing season Diego Costa is having so far. The Spain international striker scored a hat-trick last week against Swansea. Against Manchester City, Costa could beat Wayne Rooney five games goal record into a campaign, since he has scored seven and the record of Rooney is nine, back in 201-12.

On the other hand, the Sky blues arrived with thirst for revenge to the game after losing their last game in the last gasp against Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League. After that painful loss, the Brazilian midfielder, Fernandinho, said to FIFA.com City needs to win the game against the Blues in order to recover their confidence.

“That is not easy (to take) for a big team such as City, but the best way to recover our confidence and our best qualities is to win the next game,” Fernandinho said. “Already we think about the Chelsea game. We have to win this game because we have had a draw against Arsenal and a loss at home to Stoke. We have to recover points to think about the top of the table.”

Manchester City is on the fifth position of the table with seven points (2W, 1D, 1L) with +3 in their goal difference
