Florida State is +450 to win the National Championship on back o back years, but this time they will have to go throughout the playoffs in order to be the best team once again.

Coach Jimbo Fisher recently addressed the subject about how his team and most important player, Jameis Winston, went unpunished about a supermarket citation in April

“Not after we found out the story and what had happened and [what Winston did] was not a malicious thing. It was not done with intent,” Fisher said.

“People need to realize, when you suspend him in baseball, you understand how important baseball is to him? That cut his heart out,” Fisher said Monday. “If it was done maliciously, we may have done other things. It was a silly mistake and not done with any malicious doing, and you don’t punish a guy twice for the same crime.”

The Seminoles are listed -1000 to win the ACC Atlantic Division and their two rivals, Clemson and Louisville are +450; however, most of what this team will accomplish has to be attached to the last few games of the season as they visit Louisville, and Miami and host Florida in three of the last five weeks.

Florida State also is -400 to win the ACC conference and Jameis Winston is +300 to win the Heisman again.

“I know I’m in the spotlight, and I know I’ve got these guys depending on me, coach (Jimbo) Fisher depending on me and the most important thing I have my family depending on me,” James Winston said. “That comes from me maturing, seeing the real world, seeing how people have different perspectives about me as a person. I know I have to be able to live up to that hype everywhere I go. I have a certain standard I have to hold myself up to, and if I even go an inch below that standard it’s going to be chaos.”

“I’ve fixed that,” Winston added about the grocery store incident. “I’ve matured, and I understand what it really takes to be a leader. When you’re out there and everyone’s saying the spotlight is on you, you have to be very careful with everything you do and I feel like I’m doing a better job of that.”
