Juventus (-600) vs. Chievo (+1800) (Draw +600)

Juventus will look for their 15th victory of the season in the Serie A when they face Chievo Verona today at Juventus Stadium (9:00 a.m. Eastern).

The Bianconeri are heavy favorites to win, listed at -600 in the moneyline; a Chievo win will pay +1800, and the draw +600.

Juventus have to be pleased with the first half of the season. Through 19 fixtures, they sit atop the Serie A with 46 points, five clear of second-place Roma. They have lost just one game all season (14-4-1) and have a staggering +33 goal difference. The lead the league in both goals for (42) and goals against (9).

Juventus rebounded from a string of draws in mid-December by winning four of their next five (all competitions).

“We are leading in the championship, we have closed the first half of the season in the best way … however there are still 19 games left before we can win the title. We know Roma is tailing us. … We … have to keep focus[ed],” said Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri.

On the other side, Chievo Verona is way down in the standings, sitting 16th in the table with just 18 points (4-6-9) and a -8 goal difference.

Chievo lost their last match to Fiorentina (2-1) and haven’t picked up the full three points since beating Hellas Verona back on Dec. 21.

Chievo has not had much luck against the powers from Turin lately, either. The last time Chievo defeated Juventus was back in January 2010.

Don’t expect anything but another Chievo loss today.
