Sampdoria (+280) vs. Roma (-105) (Draw +250)

After been humiliated in the UEFA Champions League by Bayern Munich (7-1), AS Roma will aim for a measure of redemption this Saturday, October 25, in the eighth fixture of Italy’s Serie A. The “Giallorossi” face a game Sampdoria side, which currently sits third in the table. The match is at Luigi Ferraris Stadium in Rome at 2:45 p.m. Eastern.

The teams have met 35 times previously, and AS Roma leads the series with 17 wins, eight losses, and ten draws. As usual, the Romans are the favorites, listed at -105 in the moneyline; a Sampdoria victory will pay +280 and the draw sits at +250.

After the disaster against Bayern Munich, the AS Roma coach, Rudi Garcia, took the blame.

“It was a tactical collapse more than a psychological one. We weren’t aggressive enough and allowed Bayern to play. I am the first one who made the mistake; it is not the fault of the players. The first half approach was my fault entirely. It was the wrong strategy; we should’ve been more closed up and try to hit them on the counter-attack,” Garcia told Sky Sports Italy after the match.

AS Roma enters match sitting in second place in the table, behind only Juventus. Roma has 18 points (6W, 0D, 1L) and a +10 goal difference. As mentioned, Sampdoria is in third place; in seven matches so far, they have picked up 15 points (4W, 3D, 0L) and a +5 differential.

Bet Roma to bounce back and hand Sampdoria their first Serie A loss of the season.
