It’s déjà vu all over again for the St. Louis Rams, who a few weeks ago watched Sam Bradford suffer another ACL injury that should mark the end of his career with the team. Now Coach Jeff Fisher is hoping grizzled veteran Shaun Hill can provide enough of a spark in the tough NFC West.

After Bradford was injured last season, Kellen Clemens guided the Rams offense, which was a paltry 27th in passing and 19th in rushing. Despite the fact the Rams defense appears tough, in truth its strength was against the run where it was 9th in the league. However, against the pass, the St. Louis defense was only 19th.

Despite Bradford being out again, first round offensive tackle Greg Robinson should help, while defensive tackle Aaron Donald, another first round pick, can plug the middle of the defense.

Looking to this season, the Rams face eight playoff teams with an overall schedule featuring opponents boasting a .564 winning percentage last year (3rd toughest in the league). Furthermore, the Rams will be playing just one set of back-to-back road games.

Oddsmakers have the Rams posted at 6.5 (over -115) for o/u wins. Considering the team’s recent injury to Bradford, it’s hard to imagine this being the year the Rams boast a .500 record, let alone make the playoffs.
