Group E has one huge favorite and three teams that look for the runner up position in the Brazil 2014 World Cup as France leads the way, with Switzerland, Ecuador and Honduras looking for the other spot in the next round.

France has been in the second stage two of the last four World Cups; the two times they made it to the next round ended reaching the final.  However; this team is new, but has quality players as Franck Ribery and Karim Benzema up front.

Ecuador had a tremendous qualifying series, but they relied on the altitude of Quito.  They will have to show getting here wasn’t a matter of geography.

Switzerland, curiously, was the head of the group in the draw, but they are not getting the respect the FIFA rankings give them.   The Swiss beat Spain in the 2010 World Cup, but then failed to make it to the Round of 16.

Honduras is the last in the odds; they didn’t score on goal at South Africa 2010, and they want to have a better performance in Brazil.

Here are the odds of the group:

To Qualify

France (1/5), Switzerland (4/5), Ecuador (20/19), Honduras (7/1)

Not To Qualify

Honduras (1/11), Ecuador (4/5), Switzerland (6/5), France (3/1)

To Finish Bottom

Honduras (1/3), Ecuador (6), Switzerland (8), France (16)

June 15 | France (1/3) vs Honduras (12/1),Draw (9/2)
