Don’t expect a nail biter tonight at Oracle Arena as the Warriors opened as 15.5 point favorites versus the Bulls. Tip off is scheduled for 10:30 p.m. EST.
Chicago comes into this game with the NBA’s 20th-ranked defensive rating. They’re giving up 110.2 points per game and are 23rd in field goals allowed and 20th in three-pointers allowed. Offensively, they’re averaging 100.7 points and are 27th in rebounds and 27th in assists.
They’ve received big contributions this season from Zach LaVine, who is averaging 23.5 points per contest on 43.0% shooting.
On the flip side, Golden State has the league’s 1st-ranked offensive rating. The Warriors are averaging 116.7 points per game on 46.0% shooting and are 10th in rebounds and first in assists.
Much of their offense has come from Stephen Curry, who is tops on the Warriors with 28.9 points per game on 47.0% shooting, and Kevin Durant, who is chipping in 28.4 points per game. The Bulls will have to work hard to limit both players tonight.
Defensively, the Warriors are giving up 111.7 points per game and are 24th in field goals allowed and ninth in three-pointers allowed. They’re letting opponents shoot 45.0% from the floor and 34.0% from downtown.
These two teams have already met once this season. The last time they played on October 30th, 2018, Golden State won 149-124 behind 52 points from Klay Thompson.
The Warriors are coming off of a 95-122 win vs the Knicks in New York in which they shot 14 for 45 from deep and won the war on the glass 56-48. The Bulls, meanwhile, are fresh off a 112-124 loss against the Trail Blazers in Portland in which they handed out 22 dimes and scratched and clawed their way to five steals. Wendell Carter Jr. led the way with 22 points.
Overall, the Bulls have won three of their previous ten games and are 13th in the Eastern Conference, while the Warriors have lost four of their last ten and are second in the Western Conference.
The 15.5-point spread isn’t the only angle you can take advantage of. Bookmakershave also set a big over/under total of 222. Bear in mind that Chicago is 19-22-0 against the spread this season and 16-25-0 over/under, compared to 17-24-0 ATS and 21-20-0 over/under for Golden State.
