The clock is ticking on the KBO season. Only a handful of games remain, and one team now looks like a real threat to challenge NC for the championship. That of course is LG, who enter play on Tuesday riding a six-game winning streak.

The Twins are fresh off a weekend sweep of the first place Dinos, and will look to continue their scorching hot play against Lotte, when they meet at 5:30 am EST.

Odds as of  Oct. 12th at FanDuel.

Surprisingly, the Twins have opened up as massive underdogs to the seventh place Giants. That’s due in large part to the fact that Dan Straily will toe the rubber for Lotte, but it’s not as if he’s invincible.

Can LG Finally Solve Straily?

The Giants ace was lit up in his last outing, surrendering four runs to KT Wiz over 6 innings. It marked the fourth time in his last 10 starts that he’s allowed at least four runs, and in the other three instances, the results were even uglier.

He allowed seven runs to Samsung last month, and in August he gave up five runs to Hanwha and six to Doosan. The outings in between were gems, but the bottom line is he can be had. The problem for LG is that they’ve had virtually zero success against him in two meetings this season.

They’ve mustered just one run and four hits off him in 15.1 innings, while striking out 12 times. They’re 1-1 in those two meetings, but it’s impossible to ignore their dominance over the last week.

The Twins have outscored their opponents by 20 runs over their six-game winning streak, allowing just nine runs total. On Tuesday, they’ll turn to Won Suk Ryu for his first career start, but the Giants offense is not one to fear.

Lotte is averaging just 4.67 runs over its past 10 outings, and were outscored by eight runs by eighth place Samsung over the weekend.

Pick: LG Twins +1.5 (+106)

Jokisch Keeps the Total in Check

Elsewhere in the KBO on Tuesday, the league’s best pitcher will face third place KT Wiz. Kiwoom’s Eric Jokisch has been sensational over the last month, allowing one earned run or less in five straight starts.

Jokisch is fresh off limiting the high powered NC offense to one run and four hits over 6 innings, and has a phenomenal track record versus the Suwon. He’s held KT Wiz to three earned runs total in three starts this season, fanning 16 batters along the way.

If he can hold the Suwon in check like he has all season, this game will be hard pressed to hit the over. That’s because the Heroes’ offense has been a hot mess lately. They’re averaging only 4.3 runs per outing over their last 10, and are fresh off dropping two of three versus last place Hanwha over the weekend.

Pick: Under 9.5 (-104)
