We look at the odds and best bets for all the KBO games on Wednesday, October 28th here. Find out why the LG Twins cannot afford to slip up against the Hanwha Eagles.
  • LG’s Chan Gyu Lim is 2-1 with a 1.00 ERA vs Hanwha this season
  • NC’s Myung Gi Song has won five straight starts
  • Find odds and best bets for the KBO’s five-game slate on October 28th in the article below

Wednesday’s KBO schedule only features three games, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t plenty at stake. LG and KT Wiz are neck-and-neck in the race for second place, with the Twins holding the slimmest of leads. LG’s winning percentage sits at .572, compared to .571 for KT Wiz.

The Twins will look to create some breathing room for themselves at 5:30 am EST, when they face last place Hanwha.

 KBO Odds: Wednesday, October 28th

Team Moneyline Runline Over/Under Run Total Game Time (Eastern)
Hanwha Eagles +310 +2.5 (-112) Over 8.5 (-116) 5:30 a.m.
LG Twins -410 -2.5 (-112) Under 8.5 (-110)
Team Moneyline Runline Over/Under Run Total Game Time (Eastern)
KT Wiz Suwon -230 -1.5 (-136) Over 9.5 (-104) 5:30 a.m.
KIA Tigers +184 +1.5 (+106) Under 9.5 (-122)
Team Moneyline Runline Over/Under Run Total Game Time (Eastern)
NC Dinos -152 -1.5 (-102) Over 11.5 (-106) 5:30 a.m.
Lotte Giants +126 +1.5 (-126) Under 11.5 (-120)

Odds as of  Oct. 27th at FanDuel.

Not surprisingly, LG opened up as a big moneyline favorite and -2.5 on the runline. The juice on the runline isn’t nearly as high as it should be, and presents the best way to attack this game.

LG Hangs Big Number on Hanwha

The Twins will take on Eagles’ starter Ee Whan Kim, looking to extend his recent cold streak. The 20-year-old has allowed nine runs over his past two starts, taking a loss in both outings. Last time out, he surrendered four runs to Samsung, marking the sixth time in his past 12 outings he’s given up at least that many runs.

Kim shouldn’t expect too much run support, as the Hanwha offense has been faring even worse than usual lately. They’ve exceeded four runs just once in their last 12 games, failing to cross the plate more than twice in eight of those contests. On Wednesday, they’ll square off against Chan Gyu Lim, who’s been excellent all month.

The 27-year-old has allowed just three earned runs over his past three starts, and has a strong track record against the Eagles. He’s faced Hanwha three times this season, holding them to one run or less in two of those outings.

Pick: LG Twins -2.5 (-112)

NC Over Lotte

Elsewhere in the KBO on Wednesday, first place NC will take on a Lotte team with nothing left to play for. The Giants have dropped seven of their past 10, and will be hard pressed to compete with Young Hwan Choi on the mound. The 28-year-old will be making his first career start, after spending the last four seasons pitching exclusively out of the bullpen.

He has a 6.82 career ERA, and has allowed three home runs and 12 hits in 6.2 innings in 2020. That’s good news for NC, who is winless in its past three outings.

The Dinos will counter with Myung Gi Song, who’s been rock solid over the past month. He’s won five straight starts, holding the opposition below three runs in four of those five games. Last time out versus KIA, he scattered four hits over 6 innings, in a 13-3 blowout win versus the Tigers.

He should have no problem with a Lotte offense that ranks near the bottom of the league in every major offensive category.

Pick: NC Dinos moneyline (-152)
