The Baylor Bears have been a distinguish offense that brings a lot of points on the scoreboard week in and week out, and they are expected to be just as good in 2014. The Bears are rated +2500 to win the 2014/2015 College Football Championship.

Baylor had the 6th best passing offense in College Football in 2013, averaging 359.1 points per game, and 1st in the country in points scored with 52.4.

“We certainly don’t perceive ourselves [as heavyweights],” head coach Art Briles said. “We still see ourselves, me, personally, our team, we see ourselves as the guy fighting hard scratching hard to try and get some recognition and some respect.”

“Honestly, personally and professionally, I’m a little upset about the way it all transpired last year,” Briles said. “I certainly felt like he should have been in New York without question. I mean, your first-year starter, you win 11 football games, win the Big 12 Championship for the first time in school history, throw 4,200 yards, 33 TDs, three picks and you sit at home in December?”

QB Bryce Petty is back for one more season with the Bears as he threw for 4,200 yards and 32 touchdowns in 2013 while leading Baylor to its first Big 12 championship.
