Catch all the details on what’s going on with PointsBet Canada and the start of private Ontario sports betting.

PointsBet Canada Launching in Ontario on April 4

PointsBet Canada will be one of the first private sportsbooks to launch in the country when single-game sports betting expands in Ontario.

The PointsBet sportsbook recently announced they received approval from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO). Scott Vanderwel, CEO for PointsBet Canada, was quoted saying “Since day one, we have remained genuine to our promise of building a Canadian sportsbook, with Canadian employees, for the Canadian market.”

This news comes just after iGaming Ontario (iGO) gave the green light for Canada’s most populous province to open their private sports betting market on April 4. PointsBet Canada will be one of many private sportsbooks that will be expected to launch on that exciting day.

PointsBet Canada Becomes the Official Sportsbook of Alpine Canada

The XXIV Olympic Winter Games have begun, and PointsBet Canada has announced a partnership to become the official sportsbook partner of Alpine Canada.

Alpine Canada is responsible for overseeing the Canadian Olympic ski teams, and their partnership with PointsBet Canada is one of the first of its kind. It’s not the only unique partnership PointsBet Canada has entered into, as the Australia-based sportsbook recently announced an endorsement deal with the Trailer Park Boys.
