As it always does, the Little League World Series has given us plenty of memories.

From nicknames, to dancing, to…interesting batting stances, this year has had it all. But for two teams, they’ve maneuvered the bracket perfectly. Now they have the chance to go home with the ultimate prize.

It’s Louisiana and Curacao in the Little League World Series Final. Who’s going to come out on top Sunday afternoon?

Curacao’s tournament started with an 11-0 dismantling of Australia. After dropping their next one to South Korea, they never looked back. They went on to sizeable wins over Canada and Venezuela, and two tight wins over South Korea and Japan.

That last win? It was massive. Japan has won five Little League World Series titles since 2010.

Other than losing their opener to Hawai’i, it’s been tough to slow Louisiana down. Their 3-2 win over Oregon was followed by romps against Minnesota and Virginia, and revenge against Hawai’i.

The fact they scored nine runs against Hawai’i is nothing new for Louisiana. They’ve plated nine or more in three of their last four games.

38 Runs For 38
10 Runs Against 14
54 Hits For 43
23 Hits Against 19
3 Errors 10

The teams are very even down the board.

There is one big advantage however, and that’s defensively. Curacao has committed a lot of errors at the Little League World Series. Louisiana has limited their defensive miscues.

Louisiana has gotten exceptional pitching performances throughout the tournament. They even got a no-hitter in their United States Semi-Final against Virginia. That capped off three-straight games where they allowed just one run.Total.

Curacao’s staff has been just as stingy however. The most runs they’ve given up in a game was four. That happened twice. Once in their loss against South Korea, and once in their International Final against Japan.

They actually held Japan to two runs over five innings, before surrendering a pair in the bottom of the sixth.

Watch Out for These Guys

Want two players to keep your eyes on Sunday?

Try Louisiana’s Reece Roussel and Curacao’s Jurdrick Profar.

If Jurdrick’s last name sounds familiar, that’s because it is. His brother Jurickson plays in the majors.

And Roussel? He only broke the record for hits in a single Little League World Series against Hawai’i with 15.

And he still has a game to go.

Run with Curacao to Win LLWS

Looking at their paths to get to the final, we can’t ignore who Curacao has beaten.

Since knocking Canada out of the tournament, they’ve taken down Venezuela, South Korea and Japan consecutively.

Don’t take anything away from Louisiana. This run has been great. And they’ve been better defensively. But they weren’t able to separate from Hawaii until the final innings, scoring all nine runs across the fifth and sixth.

There has been just two American champions since 2010. Meanwhile the Caribbean hasn’t taken the title since 2004.

They bring it back home this year.

The Pick: Curacao (-160)
