  • Reality dance competition series Dancing With the Stars has reached its final four contestants of the season
  • The show’s remaining contestants have all had great runs this year, but only one can take the gold
  • All eyes are on which of the final four contestants will take the championship prize during the show’s November 25 season finale

And then there were four. With only a quartet of finalists left on Dancing With the Stars this season, the finale is almost upon us.

Eight of the dozen contestants have already been eliminated, meaning competition is tougher than ever. Most recently, ‘90s Hollywood heartthrob James Van Der Beek left the dust, leaving guesses as to who will take the win during the November 25 season closer.

Brown Versus Brooke

Former Bachelorette star Hannah Brown is the favorite to win this season, following a successful string of performances on the show. We’ve seen Brown shine alongside dance partner Alan Bersten, ending episodes as the highest scoring dancer during tango, rumba, and quickstep.

Brown may have had a second shot at love during The Bachelorette, but that’s not where her television career began. In fact, it seems Brown’s reality television career is faring better on Dancing With the Stars than it did on The Bachelor. Earlier this year, she placed seventh on The Bachelor, but she’s already surpassed that on Stars.

Of course, Brown isn’t in the clear just yet. She still has to sneak past three other contestants to secure a win. Looking at the other finalists is certainly a key to uncovering who may secure this victory.

Former member of girl group Fifth Harmony Ally Brooke is Brown’s biggest competitor. Given her history during the pop stars’ successful run, Brooke had a lot of time to work on choreography. That history has helped her immensely on Stars.

Like Brown, Ally Brooke’s string of wins on Stars is nothing short of impressive. Just last round, Brooke scored with top marks during Charleston week, but her success isn’t limited to that genre. Brooke was also the top scoring dancer during paso doble, samba, and jazz – she is certainly no slouch on the dance floor.

Four on the Floor

Rounding out the final four are Nickelodeon star Kel Mitchell, famous for his appearances on All That and Kenan & Kel, and country star and American Idol runner-up Lauren Alaina.

Alaina and Mitchell have both had reasonable runs on the show. You can’t deny their impact on the judges considering they’ve both lasted this long in the season. But going by the numbers, neither of these stars have managed to secure as many high scores as their remaining competitors.

With Dancing With the Stars, anything can happen. Even right down to the final performance, favorites can fall and dark horses can rise. But comparing the trends of the season to the final episode, it’s easier to imagine Brown or Brooke walking away.

That said, Ally Brooke’s history of dancing with Fifth Harmony gives her an advantage, especially when you consider the final performance is a freestyle genre. Brown’s history on stage and in front of the camera match Brooke’s, but Brooke’s been dancing this whole time, not just handing out roses to potential suitors.

That history is going to pay off in the final moments when it’s down to splitting hairs. It’s going to be Ally Brooke for the win.

Pick: Ally Brooke (+175)
