Take a look at any Super Bowl winning team and odds are they didn’t suffer from many devastating injuries. That was not the case for the Green Bay Packers which last season (8-7-1) lost Aaron Rodgers for numerous games along with other key personnel.

Now the team is back with high hopes for the 2014 season. Offensively, the Packers were highly respectable at 6th in passing and 7th rushing. Defensively, it was a different story, as the team could never hold a lead.

The defense ranked 24th against the pass and 25th against the run. In addition to getting back healthy players, the team added free agent Julius Peppers and high-profile Alabama safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix in the draft.

Looking to this season, the Packers face five playoff teams with an overall schedule featuring opponents boasting a .504 winning percentage last year (the 13th hardest in the league). Also, the Packers play two sets of back-to-back road games.

Oddsmakers have the Packers at 10 for o/u wins with the over paying out at varying from -120 to -145. With Rodgers and Lacey expected to reach new heights, the over has to be in play for the 2014 season.
