Qualcomm Stadium is the place where the 2013 National University Holiday Bowl will be play this Monday at 10:15 PM ET, between the Arizona State Sun Devils and the Texas Tech Red Raiders.

Arizona State was one of the best and most surprising teams in this 2013 season, but they couldn’t beat Stanford for a place in the Rose Bowl, and that might be still hunting them weeks later.

“I really thought we were going to win. I really did,” said coach Todd Graham, who won Pac-12 Coach of the Year in his second season with the Sun Devils. “We made mistakes, and it took us a little long to make adjustments.”

The Sun Devils were 10-3 in the season, and 7-6 against the spread, plus the total has gone OVER in 11 of Arizona State’s last 15 games.

The Red Raiders ended the season 7-5 straight up, and 5-7 against the spread; they will be without quarterback Baker Mayfield who will be transferred from the school.

“We had a good talk. He didn’t give me many specifics as to why,” said coach Kliff Kingsbury. “But he definitely emphasized that he was ready to move on.”

Texas Tech is 1-7 ATS after playing a conference game this season, 1-8 ATS off a loss against a conference rival over the last 2 seasons.

The NCAAF betting odds have the Sun Devils as 14 point favorites; plus, the game total is at 71.5 points.
