Five KBO series wrap up Thursday morning at 5:30 am EST, and it looks like there’s some value to be found on the odds board.

KT Wiz took a break from beating up on SK on Wednesday, dropping an 11-2 decision to the Wyverns, but there’s an excellent chance the Suwon bounce back on Thursday.

Odds as of Aug. 12th.

KT Wiz is 6-1 versus SK this season, and will face Geon Wook Lee, a pitcher they absolutely destroyed two weeks ago.

Suwon Strikes Back

KT Wiz roughed up Lee for eight hits and nine runs in 4 innings, en route to an 11-0 victory. The loss was by far Lee’s worst outing of the season, and he was victimized twice by the long ball.

Only the NC Dinos have hit more home runs than the Suwon, and KT Wiz features the KBO’s home run king. Mel Rojas Jr. has homered 29 times already this season, including three times versus SK.

Lee has allowed at least one home run in three of his last four starts, and has also been hurt by his control. He’s walked 10 batters in his last three outings, which is three more than he’s stuck out.

The Suwon meanwhile, will counter with Je Seong Bae, who’s also looked shaky as of late. Last time out he allowed six runs to LG, but in the three prior starts he held the opposition to two runs or less. The Wyverns rank second last in runs per game, and should represent an excellent bounce back opportunity for Bae.

Pick: KT Wiz Suwon -1.5 (-135)

Back the Dinos at Plus-Money

It’s not often you can get the best team in the league at plus money, so when the opportunity presents itself you have to pounce. NC has looked pretty ordinary lately, dropping five of its last seven, but on Wednesday they get a great matchup versus Lotte’s Adrian Sampson.

The 28-year-old is sporting a 6.24 ERA and 1.76 WHIP this season, and is one start removed from allowing 11 hits and eight runs to LG. He hasn’t pitched since July 21st when he suffered a thigh injury, and has been particularly bad at home. He’s 1-4 in five home starts, posting a 7.40 ERA and 1.89 WHIP.

NC Meanwhile, averages nearly six runs per game on the road (5.92) and should feast on the struggling starter.

The Dinos will counter Min Hyuk Shin, who’s been excellent in limited duty this season. The 21-year-old averaged over a strikeout per inning as a reliever, and although there is some concern about how deep he’ll go in this game, I just can’t pass on a first place team at such attractive odds.

Pick: NC Dinos moneyline (+115)
