There are only a handful of legit aces in the KBO and when they’re on the hill it’s must see tv. NC’s Chang Mo Koo delivered another near flawless performance on Wednesday versus Lotte, and now the Giants will give the ball to their star Dan Straily as their series with the Dinos wraps up Thursday at 5:30 am EST.

Can Straily Finally Get Some Support?

Straily is coming off a rare off-night, but he still lasted 7.1 innings in a no decision versus Samsung. He pitched well enough to win, like he always does, but once again the Lotte offense let him down. The Giants have failed to score more than four runs in all but one of his last nine outings, which explains his 1-2 record.

Outside of Koo, Straily was perhaps the best pitcher in the league in June, posting a 2.12 ERA and 0.71 WHIP, while striking out 27.

The Giants bats are well beyond due to provide him with some run support and Thursday’s matchup for them is quite favorable. They’ll face Jae Hak Lee, who’s sporting a 5.60 ERA and hasn’t made it past the 5th inning in four of his last five starts.

Pick: Lotte Giants moneyline (+100)

Another Low Scoring Affair on Deck for SK

The SK Wyverns dropped their fourth straight game Wednesday and have scored just two runs in their series versus Samsung. Life won’t get any easier for the SK bats Thursday, as they’ll have to face Lions young stud Tae In Won.

The 20-year-old is fresh of 6.2 innings of one-run ball versus Lotte and has allowed two or fewer runs in eight of 10 starts this season.

Each of the Wyverns’ last six games have fallen under the total and offense will be tough to come by for not only them, but Samsung as well. SK will give the ball to Geon Wok Lee, who held LG scoreless over 6 innings in his last outing. He sports a tidy 2.78 ERA and three of his four starts have gone under.

Pick: Under 9.0 (-120)

KT Wiz Looks to Rough up Kelly

A day after KT Wiz’s potent offense roughed up LG for 11 runs, they’re in prime position for another high scoring affair. The Suwon will get a crack at Casey Kelly, who has struggled in three straight starts. He’s allowed 12 runs over that span, and has recorded two or fewer strikeouts in two of the three outings.

KT Wiz has scored at least seven runs in four of six, including 19 versus the Dinos last week. They’ll give the ball to 22-year-old Byung Wook Jo for his first career start, which could be a recipe for a Twins breakout. LG has averaged just 2.9 runs per game over its last 10, but Thursday’s matchup against an unproven rookie is a prime spot for a bounce back.

Pick: Over 9.5 (-120)
