After one of the lowest-scoring slates of the KBO season Tuesday, all 10 teams return to action on Wednesday at 5:30 AM ET. Only one of the five games on Tuesday’s schedule went over the total, and while most of Wednesday’s games project to be much higher scoring, a pitcher’s duel is brewing between KIA and KT Wiz.

Scoring Will be Scarce Between KIA and KT Wiz

There are only two starting pitcher’s on this slate with ERA’s below 4.00 and they’ll both be featured when the Tigers take on KT Wiz. KIA, winners of six of its last seven, will trot out Ki Young Im who’s coming off a masterful outing.

The Tigers righty allowed just one run and five hits over eight innings, and has now given up just two earned runs total in his last two outings.

KT Wiz will counter with ace Odrisamer Despaigne, who ranks top-five in ERA, WHIP and quality starts. Last time out, Despaigne allowed just one earned run over 7.0 innings and hasn’t surrendered more than three runs in any of his four starts. He’s held opposing offenses to a single run in three of those outings and owns a 21-2 strikeout-to-walk rate.

This game has all the makings of a low scoring affair.

Pick: Under 9.5 (+100)

Two Teams Going in Different Directions

The LG Twins will be seeking a third straight win when they visit Hanwha. LG blanked the the Eagles 3-0 last night, marking the second time in its last five outings that they haven’t allowed a run. The Twins have won four of five overall and sit second in the KBO standings, while Hanwha ranks third from the bottom.

The Eagles have lost three straight, including two by shutout, and six of nine overall. Their offense has fallen off a cliff recently, and now ranks last in home runs, and second last in runs scored. Only two teams (Samsung and SK) have a worse team batting average, and Wednesday’s starter Min Jay Jang allowed six runs and 12 hits last time out.

Pick: LG Twins moneyline (-145)

Don’t Jump off the Dinos Bandwagon Now

The NC Dinos cashed another ticket Tuesday pounding the visiting Kiwoom Heroes 7-2. The win improved the Dinos to a league-best 15-3, yet somehow they’re only -150 on the moneyline vs the Heroes on Wednesday.

While it’s true arguably their weakest starter will be on the mound, they’ve still found a way to win all three of Jae Hak Lee’s outings.

Kiwoom meanwhile, has lost three of four, and will counter with Hyun Hee Han and his 5.63 ERA. He was lit up for five runs and eight hits last time out and could struggle again versus a Dinos lineup that’s scored 17 runs in their last two games.

Pick: NC Dinos moneyline (-150)
