  • The Korea Baseball Organization featured a trio of one-run games on Wednesday
  • The LG Twins trounced the SK Wyverns, which drastically altered the odds for their matchup on Thursday

For the second consecutive day, the Korea Baseball Organization featured three one-run games. With runlines set at the standard 1.5, tight scores like that can be nerve-racking for bettors.

The LG Twins offered no such drama, trouncing the SK Wyverns 14-2 on Wednesday. The Twins had a mere -105 moneyline for that game. After their big win, those odds look quite a bit different ahead of Thursday’s matchup with the Wyverns.

Here’s a look at the entire slate of KBO games for Thursday. All games are set to begin at 5:30 AM ET (2:30 AM PT).

KBO Odds: Thursday, May 14

Twins’ Odds Take A Jump

As you can see, the Twins’ odds have changed quite a bit, after Wednesday’s blowout in which they scored 10 runs (seven of which were unearned) in the first three innings.

LG has now won three in a row — including back-to-back against SK — and will attempt the sweep with Tyler Wilson on the mound.

Wilson’s first start was horrendous (seven earned runs allowed in 4 .1 innings), but he has proven to be an excellent pitcher in two prior seasons — leading to a 3.13 ERA in his KBO career.

Each of LG’s past five games have resulted in double-digit run totals (as is the case in four of SK’s past five), so consider taking the over here, along with an LG sweep.

Pick: LG Twins -1.5 (+105); Over 9.5 (-115)

Giant Scoring

After suffering their first loss the day prior, the Lotte Giants bounced back with a back-and-forth 10-9 win over the Doosan Bears on Wednesday.

The rubber match of this series should be anybody’s game, which means betting on the 6-1 Giants with a +1.5 runline should feel like the right move. They might win the game outright, and if not, they’ve shown they’re good enough to cover.

Oh, and do I have to justify my over/under pick here? There have been 36 combined runs in two games between these teams. Smash the over.

Pick: Lotte Giants +1.5 (-120); Over 10.5 (-115)

Hanwha Covers Again

At first glance, the Hanwha Eagles are just a team that has lost five-straight and hasn’t generated much pizazz in the process.

But look closer. See how close those games are? They’ve lost their past five games by just nine total runs. That includes a pair of one-run losses in their current series against the KIA Tigers.

In other words, they’ve covered their +1.5 spread in both of those games.

With Tigers pitcher Drew Gagnon getting the start (who allowed four runs in 5 1/3 innings to the hapless Samsung Lions’ offense in his first outing), go ahead and put a little bit of faith in the Eagles. Even if they lose again, they have a chance to go three-for-three against the spread!

Pick: Hanwha Eagles +1.5 (-165)
