Odds as of Sept. 30th at FanDuel.

KT Wiz has dominated the season series 11-3, and will send ace Odrisamer Despaigne to the mound, who’ll look to join NC’s Drew Rucinski as the league’s only 16-game winners.

Despaigne Dominant in Last Two Starts

Despaigne has been prone to streakiness this season, both good and bad. It appears he’s in one of his finer stretches though, as he’s been excellent in back-to-back starts. Last time out, he held KIA to two runs in a victory, and prior to that he gave up just one run and one hit to SK in a win.

In the month of September, he surrendered two runs or less in four of five outings, picking up three victories along the way. He’s already beaten Samsung twice this season, and his offense is in a very favorable position on Thursday.

The KT Wiz bats will face Yong Dong Heo, who’s been hit hard in three consecutive starts. One of those outings was against the Suwon, where he lasted just a single inning. He hasn’t made it out of the 4th inning in three straight starts, and has significantly more walks (7) than strikeouts (2) during that stretch.

With a short outing from Heo likely, KT Wiz projects to see plenty of the Lions bullpen which has the second worst ERA in the league (5.54).

Pick: KT Wiz Suwon -1.5 (-130)

NC Looks Awesome

Elsewhere in the KBO on Thursday, first place NC looks to extend its winning streak to 11 games. They’ll take on SK, who they’ve beaten 13 times already in 2020.

The Dinos’ bats will square off with Ricardo Pinto, who’s suddenly pitching very well. The 26-year-old is fresh off three straight quality starts, allowing just two runs in the process. Last week, he shutout Kiwoom over 7 innings, but the NC offense is a different beast.

The Dinos have outscored their opponents by 46 runs during their current winning streak, and have outproduced the Wyverns 15-3 in two games so far this week. They lead the KBO in every major offensive category, despite playing seven fewer games than some of the other clubs.

NC will counter with Myung Gi Song, who was brilliant in his last outing. The sophomore held fourth place LG to just one run and three hits over 6 innings, striking out five along the way.

SK meanwhile, has scored three or fewer runs in eight of its last 10, and rank second last in runs scored, and hits per game.

Pick: NC Dinos -1.5 (-144)
