Prop #1: Jacob deGrom Under 10.5 Strikeouts
The first prop to attack is under 10.5 strikeouts for Jacob deGrom. New York’s two-time Cy Young Award winner has already racked up 35 strikeouts in 20 innings, and is fresh off a 14 K performance against the Rockies. How good was he against Colorado? 77.7% of the outs he recorded were by strikeout. That’s insane.

I know what you’re thinking, bet against the best pitcher in baseball are you crazy? But here’s the thing: Friday’s opponent Washington is very disciplined at the plate. They’ve struck out just 128 times so far this season, which equates to only 8 K’s per game. deGrom has failed to punch out more than 10 Nats batters in each of his past six starts against Washington, and most online sportsbooks are offering this prop at 9.5, which means you get a little more bang for your buck.
Pick: Jacob deGrom Under 10.5 Strikeouts (-134)
Prop #2: Matt Olson 2+ Hits
The next prop to attack is 2+ hits for Matt Olson. Oakland’s first baseman has been tearing the cover off the ball lately, and enters Friday riding a seven-game hitting streak. Last time out he smacked three hits, including two homers off Minnesota, and he’s already produced six multi-hit games this season.

He’s a career .500 hitter against Baltimore starter Jorge Lopez, who has been hit hard all season. Through three starts, Lopez has an 8.52 ERA and has yet to last longer than 5 innings.
Pick: Matt Olson 2+ Hits (+230)
