All odds as of April 29th.

Prop #1: Chris Bassitt Over 5.5 Strikeouts

The first prop to target is over 5.5 strikeouts for Oakland’s Chris Bassitt. The right-hander has easily exceeded this total in back-to-back starts, producing 16 strikeouts in his last 12 innings pitched. He’s generating a swinging strike rate of 11.5% this season, the highest of his career, and the matchup against Tampa Bay is very favorable.

Only two teams in baseball whiff more than the Rays, and they’ve already struck out 27 times in the first three games of this series.

Pick: Chris Bassitt Over 5.5 Strikeouts (-120)

Prop #2: Jose Altuve 2+ Hits

The next prop to attack is 2 or more hits for Houston’s Jose Altuve. The former MVP has four hits against Seattle already this series, and has crushed left-handed pitching this season. Altuve is batting .517 versus southpaws which doesn’t bode well for Mariners starter Yusei Kikuchi.

The left-hander has allowed at least six hits in three of four starts in 2021 and surrendered five runs to the Astros two weeks ago. Altuve was out of the lineup for that game, but already owns five multi-hit outings in 14 games this season.

Pick: Jose Altuve 2+ Hits (+150)
