The Braves are expected to have right-hander Huascar Ynoa (4-6, 4.05 regular season) either open or be a bulk innings pitcher in a bullpen game. The Dodgers will counter with left-hander Julio Urias (20-3, 2.96), who led the major leagues in wins during the regular season.
Ynoa’s last start came Oct. 1 during the final weekend of the regular season. He has pitched only once in the postseason, giving up two runs in one inning of relief against the Milwaukee Brewers in Game 4 of the National League Division Series on Oct. 12.

Ynoa has not won since May 9 against the Philadelphia Phillies. He spent nearly three months on the injured list with a fractured right hand from May 17-Aug. 16 and then went 0-5 with a 5.51 ERA in his last 10 regular-season starts.
In 17 starts this year, Ynoa has registered six quality ones but none in his last six outings. The Braves have gone 9-8 in those starts.

Ynoa has struggled on the road with a 1-3 record and 5.49 ERA in nine games (eight starts) but is 4-4 with a 2.88 ERA at night in 15 games (14 starts).
Ynoa was outstanding the lone time he has faced the Dodgers in his career, pitching four scoreless innings of relief in last year’s NLCS. He has made two career postseason appearances, both out of the bullpen, surrendering two runs in five innings.
Urias made a relief appearance of 2021 in Game 2 in Atlanta on Sunday and suffered a blown save when he gave up two runs in one inning. He will start Game 4 with just two days of rest following a 14-pitch outing.
Urias is 12-0 with a 2.03 ERA in his last 18 starts since losing to the Padres on June 21 in San Diego. He is 7-1 with a 3.27 in 14 starts at Dodger Stadium and 13-2 with a 3.26 ERA at night in 25 games (23 starts).

Urias has pitched against the Braves three times this year, including two regular season starts, and is 2-0 with a 3.75 ERA. His career record is also 2-0 with a 2.81 ERA in five games (three starts).
In the postseason, Urias is 7-2 with a 2.96 ERA in 21 games (four starts).

Braves vs Dodgers Pick
The Dodgers have won 10 straight games against the Braves at Dodger Stadium, including four this year. Atlanta is also 3-20 in its last 23 games at Chavez Ravine.
The Dodgers’ season was seemingly hanging by a threat in Game 3 until they erupted for four runs in the eighth to turn a 5-2 deficit into a 6-5 win. Cody Bellinger’s three-run home run tied it and Mookie Betts doubled in the go-ahead run.

Momentum is a fickle thing in the postseason and the Dodgers have suddenly regained it. Looks for them to even up the series in a high-scoring game between two overtaxed pitching staffs
