The Los Angeles Dodgers got a big 7-3 win on Friday night, pushing the NLCS to a Game 6. While they still face an uphill battle to come back and win the series, they did manage to survive for another night. With Game 6 on tap for Saturday afternoon (October 17) at 4:38 PM ET, let’s take a look at the Dodgers vs Braves odds and see if there are any good props on the board offering some value.

Braves vs Dodgers Game 6 Team Totals

Team Over Odds Under Odds
Atlanta Braves Over 3.5 (+100) Under 3.5 (-115)
Los Angeles Dodgers Over 4.5 (+108) Under 4.5 (-124)

The Atlanta Braves are looking at a miniscule team total on Saturday with the oddsmakers posting a line of just 3.5. That number definitely looks short for a team that has scored 5.6 runs per game in the postseason but it is understandable given the pitching matchup. The Braves are set to go up against Dodgers ace Walker Buehler.

Buehler has already faced the Braves once this series, holding them to just one run in 5.0 innings of work. However, the Braves still got over the number and knocked in five runs as they managed to get four more once he was out of the game. Buehler was inefficient in Game 1, throwing 100 pitches across 5.0 innings.

Buehler had been fantastic in the regular season, posting a sparkling WHIP of 0.95, but he’s definitely taken a step back in the playoffs. While he’s only allowed four earned runs in three starts (2.77 ERA), he’s also failed to last past the fifth inning in any outing.

His WHIP has jumped up to 1.46 in the postseason, which means he’s had to work his way out of plenty of trouble. What’s bizarre with Buehler is that he walked just 11 batters in the entire regular season (36.2 innings of work). He’s already walked as many in 13.0 innings in the playoffs.

Even if Buehler is crisp once again, the Dodgers bullpen has been somewhat mediocre in the playoffs, as they’re eighth among playoff teams in terms of WHIP and ninth in terms of ERA. With the Braves facing such a short number, over the team total looks good in this spot.

Prediction: Braves Over 3.5

Braves vs Dodgers Lead After X Innings Props

Lead After X Innings Prop Atlanta Braves Tie Los Angeles Dodgers
Team To Lead After 3 Innings +175 +270 +120
Team To Lead After 5 Innings +163 +460 -113

There’s a prop on the board at DraftKings that allows you to bet on which team will be leading after three innings and there could be some value with the tie. It pays out at +270, which seems like it might be a reasonable investment given the pitching matchup we’re going to see on Saturday.

As mentioned, the Dodgers will send Buehler to the mound and he should be able to keep the Braves under wraps in the early going. We’ve gone over his numbers. Meanwhile, the Braves will put Max Fried on the mound. Fried lasted 6.0 innings in his first meeting with the Dodgers in Game 1, giving up just four hits and one earned run.

Back in that contest, the Braves scored in the first and the Dodgers responded in the fifth, and we were tied going into the sixth. In five games in this series, the two teams were tied after three or five innings three times, and we had a close call in Game 5 where the Dodgers led by one run after five innings.

There could be some value betting both the tie after three and the tie after five innings with the latter paying out at +460. It seems like it’s worth a flier to take a shot with both as if either cashes, we’re a winner.

With two aces on the mound, this looks like a decent possibility.

Prediction: Tie after 3 & Tie after 5 innings
