Red Sox vs Blue Jays Odds

Team Moneyline Runline Total
Boston Red Sox +150 +1.5 (-140) O 7 (-120)
Toronto Blue Jays -170 -1.5 (+120) U 7 (+100)

Our betting card begins with Game 1 of the Red Sox-Blue Jays twin bill, as Toronto looks to prolong the struggles of Nick Pivetta.

The right-hander has surrendered at least 4 runs in three of his past four starts, and has been crushed by the Jays this season. He’s allowed at least 4 runs in each of their four meetings, and has been taken deep six times. He boasts a 7.59 ERA versus Toronto, while yielding 30 hits in just 21.1 innings.

It’s important to remember that all doubleheaders this season are only 7 inning games, but the Blue Jays offense is more than capable or piling up plenty of runs in a shortened affair. Toronto enters play this weekend first in home runs, slugging and OPS, and has put up at least 7 runs in three of its past four games.

Boston meanwhile, boasts a top-10 offense of its own and can certainly get to Toronto starter Robbie Ray. They roughed him up for 5 runs, including three home runs two weeks ago, and have a better average and OBP versus lefties than righties this season.

Pick: Over 7 (-120)

Pirates vs Reds Odds

Team Moneyline Runline Total
Pittsburgh Pirates +165 +1.5 (-115) O 10.5 (-105)
Cincinnati Reds -190 -1.5 (-105) U 10.5 (-115)

The next game on Saturday to target is the Reds -1.5 over the Pirates. Cincy crushed Pittsburgh 10-0 on Friday, and now gets to face Mitch Keller, one of the weaker arms on the Pirates staff. The righty has allowed 8 runs in his past 7.2 innings, and was smacked around by the Reds in their only meeting in 2021.

Cincy tagged him for 7 runs, including two homers, over 3.1 innings en route to a 14-1 victory. Blowout losses are nothing new to Pittsburgh, as they’ve been defeated by at least 4 runs eight times in the second half of the season alone. In fact, all but one of their 12 losses since the All-Star break have been by at least 2 runs.

The Reds will counter with Vladimir Gutierrez, who’s won back-to-back starts and should have no problem neutralizing the Pirates 30th ranked offense.

Pick: Reds -1.5 (-105)

Angels vs Dodgers Odds

Team Moneyline Runline Total
LA Angels +215 +1.5 (+110) O 8.5 (-115)
LA Dodgers -265 -1.5 (-130) U 8.5 (-105)

The last game on our card features the battle of Los Angeles. The Angels limp into this weekend’s series down three of their top five hitters (Mike Trout, Anthony Rendon, Jared Walsh) and have crossed the plate three or fewer times in six of their past eight contests.

Life won’t get any easier on Saturday, as they’ll have to deal with 13-game winner Julio Urias. The left-hander has held six of his past seven opponents to 2 runs or less, and is fresh off 5 innings of shutout ball in Arizona.

The big hitting Dodger bats, who lead the NL in runs and OBP, are certainly capable of pushing this game over the total by themselves, but could struggle against the red-hot Jamie Barria. The 25-year-old is fresh off his second shutout performance in his past three starts, and has given up only 2 runs over his last 17.2 innings of work.

Pick: Under 8.5 (-105)
