The Miami Heat has beaten 28 of the 29 opponents in the NBA this season; the only one missing are the Brooklyn Nets.  Heat and Nets will meet this Tuesday at 8 PM ET at the American Airlines Arena.

Brooklyn leads the series this season 3-0 and wants to sweep it mostly because they can upgrade their seeding winning out in the regular season, and because beating the Heat is always a big deal.

“It’s not only against LeBron, it’s when you play against the best,” Nets forward Paul Pierce told the NBA’s official website after scoring 29 points in last month’s victory. “This is the class of the league. This is the two-time defending champions and we’re coming down the stretch. These games are big.”

Miami wants to win to confirm their number one seed in the Eastern Conference, but they also want to stop listening people talking about how they get dominated by Brooklyn. “All we have to know about Brooklyn is we haven’t beaten them this year, including the preseason,” Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said.

Miami is 7 point favorites in the NBA odds, despite the trends say the Nets have their number. The game total is 192 points. The Heat is 5-2 ATS in their last 7 home games, and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games as a favorite.

The Nets are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 Tuesday games, and 14-2 ATS in their last 16 games following an ATS loss.
