Arguably the most important game in what’s left of the NBA regular season schedule takes the stage this Saturday as the Dallas Mavericks host the Phoenix Suns at the American Airlines Center, at 8:30 PM ET, in a game between teams trying to get one of the last playoff spots in the Western Conference.

The Suns are 47-32 in the season, and they lost to the Spurs in San Antonio on Friday night 112-104 despite they had a 21 point lead at some point in the game.

“We had too many good shots and good looks early,” said Suns star Eric Bledsoe. “We thought we were going to come in the second half and it was going to be easy like the first half and we just weren’t as aggressive or locked in.”

The Mavericks last lost was on Thursday; also against the Spurs 109-100. They are 48-32 in the season.

“Obviously, Saturday’s huge for us,” said Mavericks guard Devin Harris. “We’ve got to come out with that type of effort, knowing that our season’s on the line and it’s a game that we must have.”

The Mavs are 5 point favorites in the NBA odds for this crucial matchup. Phoenix is 3-12 ATS in its last 15 games when playing Dallas, and 1-6 ATS in its last 7 games when playing on the road against Dallas.

The Mavs have won 10 of its last 11 games when playing at home against Phoenix.
