  • Seven NBA games litter the board on Friday April 23rd
  • Player prop bets are one of the best ways to get into the action
  • See available player props for the top players taking to the floor tonight within the story below

The NBA has our backs on Friday night with seven games on the docket. ESPN will carry a doubleheader starting with the Boston Celtics traveling to Brooklyn for a date with the Nets at 7:30pm ET. When they finish, we’ll see Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets take on Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors.

Fridays are always more fun with a little action and this one is no different. Any time there are this many games on the docket, the board is full of player props. There has to be value somewhere in all these lines.

As of publish time, there were no props available for the Celtics vs Nets game.

Odds as of April 23rd

Dame Time

Any time Damian Lillard’s point total is set in the mid-20s, he is worth a look. Even when the Trail Blazers are at full strength, he is always a candidate to take 20-plus shots. That’s one reason he leads the league in 30-point games this season.

Tonight the Trail Blazers get a pace up spot against the Memphis Grizzlies. The Trail Blazers don’t exactly play slow but they have slowed it down recently presumably because Lillard was out of the lineup. That shouldn’t be an issue tonight as the Grizzlies will run, especially early as they are top 10 in the NBA in pace in the first quarter over the last ten games.

If narratives are your thing, Lillard has the “Friday Night Lights” one in his back pocket. So far this season, in Friday night games, he is averaging 30.4 points per contest. Last season he averaged 36.4 points in Friday games – so this isn’t new.

Points are expected in this one as the total is the highest on the slate. If and when this one turns into a shootout, it’s highly likely Damian Lillard will be right in the middle of the fray.

  • The Pick: Lillard OVER 25.5 Points (-118)

Kevin Love Back to Scoring

The Cleveland Cavaliers travel to Charlotte tonight to take on the Hornets and one guy to keep an eye on is Kevin Love.

The books have seemed to forget that Love can still play at a high level. He isn’t the same ball dominant guy he was in his prime, but he is still a guy that can flirt with a double-double on a nightly basis. From behind the arc or in the post, he can score from anywhere.

Love’s points plus rebounds prop seems like a great place to go tonight as it’s in the low 20s. He’s gone over this number in four of his last five games including one against this same Hornets side.

If this game stays close, which the two point spread suggests, Love could see 30 minutes. He has only seen 30 minutes three times this season but he has flown over 23 points plus rebounds in all three of those games. Love is a solid bet to cash this over tonight.

  • The Pick: Love OVER 22.5 Points + Rebounds (-120)
