  • The Tuesday night NBA schedule is a relatively quiet one with just six games
  • Many of the league’s best players are involved, however, including Steph Curry, Luka Doncic and Giannis Antetokounmpo
  • Which player props represent the best betting value?

The Tuesday night slate of NBA games is much quieter than Monday’s bonanza, but April 27th is still loaded with star power. Nearly every game features All-NBA level talent. The Bucks meet the feisty Charlotte Hornets.

Boston has possibly the easiest matchup in the league right now as they face the Oklahoma City Thunder, while there’s a tank-off in the Western Conference between Minnesota and Houston.

There are playoff implications aplenty with Portland facing Indiana, Brooklyn and Toronto going head-to-head and the latest instalment of Luka Doncic versus Steph Curry.

Odds as of Apr 27th

Unstoppable MVP

The Charlotte Hornets do not have the size to stop Giannis Antetokounmpo. They rank bottom five in percentage of opponent shots at the rim, and bottom 10 in opponent field goal percentage at the rim. This is a problem against the two-time MVP.

It’s a short list of players who score more efficiently at the rim than Antetokounmpo. He scores 80% of his attempts at the basket, and when he doesn’t score, he’s getting fouled more often than not. Only Joel Embiid averages more free throw attempts.

Charlotte is also one of the worst teams when it comes to turning the ball over. That means plenty of opportunities for the Greek Freak to run in open space, and that only ends one way.

Antetokounmpo averages 29.3 points per game in April. The only question about hitting his points over here is whether he plays the minutes. The Hornets have been in their fair share of blowouts in both directions of late, but they have enough to keep this relatively close and force Giannis to play some fourth quarter minutes.

The reigning MVP scored 34 on 19 shots with 18 free throw attempts when these teams last met. A similar line is to be expected on Tuesday night.

  • Pick: Giannis Antetokounmpo over 27.5 points (-112)

Draymond Does It All

Only Trae Young, James Harden and Russell Westbrook are averaging more assists than Draymond Green since the All-Star break. As Steph Curry has gone supernova, the Warriors have leaned more heavily into the two-man game with Curry and Green. It is as unguardable as ever.

Green is Curry’s outlet when he’s trapped. The former Defensive Player of the Year can pick apart defenses on the short roll, locating shooters and cutters. He’s a master at finding Curry on relocations. It’s not a coincidence that Green averages 9.9 dimes per game in April, a month that has seen Curry go on an historic shooting tear. Their chemistry on the court is special to watch.

With James Wiseman and Eric Paschall out, Green is also getting more reps at the five. Kevon Looney is playing just 23 minutes per night in April. Steve Kerr is running small lineups with Green or Juan Toscano-Anderson at center, and it’s seen an uptick in rebounding for the three-time NBA champion. Green is averaging 7.8 boards per game this month, compared to just 6.1 in the first half of the season.

Having reached double-figure rebounds in four of his last seven, and recorded 32 assists in his last two appearances, Green’s rebounds and assists line at 18.5 seems a bit low.

This should be a close game. Green can be expected to play north of 30 minutes – he’s a good bet for over 18.5 rebounds and assists.

  • Pick: Draymond Green over 18.5 rebounds and assists (-132)
