  • Ten NBA games are scheduled to take place on Friday, April 2
  • Extensive player props are available for many of the league’s biggest stars
  • See below to see where we think the betting value lies

It’s a fully loaded Friday night in the NBA, with a 10-pack of games on the slate, and there are some beauties. The Milwaukee Bucks continue their West Coast swing as they visit Portland for a date with the Trail Blazers.

Expect a slugfest in New York, where the Mavericks are in town to battle the Knicks, while the Toronto Raptors host Golden State, a 2019 Finals rematch that now features two teams desperate to just make the postseason.

And there’s still no LeBron or AD, but the Lakers need wins, and they’ll try to bounce back from a loss to the Bucks as they head to NorCal to play the Kings.

Let’s take a look at the player props available for April 2, and show you where we find value.

Odds as  of April 1.

Liking LeVert

It hasn’t exactly been the offensive fireworks many were expecting from Caris LeVert in his short stint with the Pacers, but he’s in prime position to land you some winnings Friday night. The Pacers will be facing the Hornets, and will likely be without Domantas Sabonis, who left with an injured quad in last night’s loss to the Heat.

With Indiana’s usual offensive hub out of the lineup, LeVert should get a little more opportunity to showcase, and that’s all he’s going to need. In 10 games since returning to the lineup after having a mass removed from his kidney, he’s topped 17.5 points scoring just three times.

In each of those games, he has taken better than 15 field goal attempts. Only once has he taken that many shots and failed to cross Friday night’s total. Prior to being dealt from Brooklyn, he posted five straight 20+ point games, all needing 15 shots or better.

You might also want to look at him hitting better than two triples. He’s 0-for-7 from deep in his last two games, but prior to that, LeVert hit at least two moneyballs in six of seven. For now, we’ll stick to the points value.

The pick: LeVert OVER 17.5 points (+100)

More Dimes for Morant

Imagine how free the Grizzlies will feel Friday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Memphis is coming off a 111-107 loss to the Utah Jazz, the third time in four games they’ve had to face the West juggernaut, each time taking the L.

Ja Morant has been good in March. He’s averaging 7.1 dimes for the month, though he has surpassed the projected 8.5 assist total just five times in his last 15 games.

Minnesota has been a mess defensively this year, and they’ve been picked apart by a strong passing game, surrendering 26.3 assists per game against, which is tied for third-worst in the NBA this year. Coincidentally, the Grizzlies are sixth in the NBA this year in assists per game.

In their last 10 games, Minny has had an individual opponent rack up nine dimes or more five separate times, courtesy of top-notch point creators: John Wall (twice), James Harden, Chris Paul and LeBron James. Morant may not be at that level (yet), but I like his chances here.

The pick: Morant OVER 8.5 assists (+108)

Dame Contained?

Bonus add on: Dame Lillard is one of the most lethal scorers in basketball, but Jrue Holiday has had relatively good success against the Portland star. Going back the last three games they’ve gone head-to-head, Holiday’s teams have won all three: one this year as part of the Milwuakee Bucks, and two last year as a member of the Pelicans. Lillard scored 20 points just once in the three games, finishing with 18 and 19 in the other two.

How happy was Lillard to see Holiday off the Pels? In back-to-back games against NOLA this year he exploded for 36 and 50. In a third meeting, he went for 43 points.

Very few people can slow Dame Time, but Holiday has proven he can do it.

The pick: Lillard UNDER 28.5 points (-116)
