After three days off, the Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks are back at it in their Eastern Conference semifinals series on Saturday. Game 3 tip-off is scheduled for 3:30 PM ET at Fiserv Forum.

The C’s evened up the series at one game apiece on Tuesday with a 109-86 statement victory at the TD Garden. Jaylen Brown led the way with 30 points after a dismal Game 1, while Giannis Antetokounmpo, top three in the NBA MVP odds received minimal help despite his 28-point effort.

Celtics Betting Outlook

Boston looked overmatched in the series opener but bounced back with authority in Game 2. Brown took over in the first half, scoring 25 of his 29 points and absolutely torching the Bucks. Jayson Tatum also had a solid night, posting 29 points and eight assists on 5 for 10 shooting from deep.

The C’s three-point efficiency proved to be a difference-maker on Tuesday, draining a blistering 46% of their triples thanks to some tremendous ball movement, racking up 28 dimes. Milwaukee did manage to destroy the Celtics in the paint, but it didn’t matter.

The Bucks struggled to hit shots, however, Ime Udoka’s squad came to play stout defense as we’ve seen for most of the postseason. While their opponents were sloppy at times with 16 turnovers, Boston fully capitalized off those mistakes, scoring 24 points.

The most promising part is they did serious damage without NBA DPOY odds favorite Marcus Smart, who is nursing a bruised thigh. The squad did a nice job limiting Giannis throughout the entire game, with most of his production coming in the third quarter.

Bucks Betting Outlook

Milwaukee looked abysmal in Game 2 and will be poised to bounce back at home on Saturday. Mike Budenholzer’s group shot a putrid 17% from long range and just 65% from the charity stripe. While The Greek Freak’s numbers didn’t look too bad on paper, he wasn’t as efficient as usual.

Only three others finished in double-figures too, with Jrue Holiday dropping 19 points. The supporting cast just didn’t show up and if the Bucks are going to get out of this series, they must be a lot better. Boston’s stifling defense did bother Milwaukee here but the team was also careless. Giannis had six turnovers on his own.

It’s well known that the C’s live and die by the triple, which means the Bucks have to drastically improve at defending the perimeter in Game 3. Making life difficult for both Tatum and Brown is crucial because the star duo will continue to kill them if given the opportunity.

No Khris Middleton also means Holiday and Portis, among others, need to rise to the occasion on both ends but mostly offensively to give Antetokounmpo more support.

Celtics vs Bucks Prediction

Milwaukee is a championship squad and I do believe they will respond on Saturday in front of their home fans. Sure, the Celtics found a way to get some stops on Giannis in Game 2 but that won’t be the case here. He’ll lead the Bucks to an important victory.

Pick: Bucks -2 (-112)
