Odds as of December 18th at FanDuel.

Cunningham Gets it Going Offensively

Detroit Pistons’ rookie Cade Cunningham is enjoying a relatively decent campaign, sitting second on the team in scoring with 15.9 points per game to along with 6.2 rebounds and 4.5 assists. With Jerami Grant currently injured, Cunningham is getting a lot more touches.

Although the Pistons have lost 13 straight games, the 2021 first overall pick is doing his part offensively. He’s hit the over in points in four of his last seven appearances, and in two of these contests he ended up with 19, which is extremely close to his over for Saturday’s action. He even erupted for a 26-piece against the Eastern Conference-best Brooklyn Nets last Sunday.

This is a battle between two of the worst teams in the NBA and given how Cunningham is playing lately, I do believe he’s going to hit the over here.

Pick: Cade Cunningham Over 19.5 Points (-116)

Garland Stays Hot From Downtown

The Cavs continue to impress, currently winners of five straight as they head into a matchup with the Bucks on Saturday. With Collin Sexton sidelined due to injury, Darius Garland has really stepped up his production, serving as one of the team’s main offensive catalysts.

While he is averaging 19 points per contest, we’re looking at his three-pointers here. The 21-year-old is shooting 38% from downtown this season, but most notably, he’s hit the over in two consecutive games. Garland went 3-for-6 against the Rockets earlier this week then also drained 3-of-7 vs Miami last Tuesday.

Now we know Milwaukee is a solid defensive team, but Garland and the Cavs are feeling it right now. He takes 6.8 treys per game, so the over is certainly not unrealistic here. Three triples isn’t a lot and I do think he’ll be able to hit that mark again and maybe, even help Cleveland pull off the upset and extend their unbeaten run.

Pick: Darius Garland Over 2.5 Three Pointers (-125)
