All-Around Beard
Still no Kevin Durant, but it hasn’t mattered much, as James Harden is dominating, just in a more diversified way. Truth is, this version is more fan-friendly, more team-friendly, and frankly, one of the toughest matchups in the NBA.
He can still go vintage ‘Beard, as he did with a 40-point, 15-assist, 10-rebound triple double to put away the Pacers Wednesday. But that was more out of necessity, as the Nets were without both Kyrie Irving and Durant.

Kyrie is supposed to be in the lineup Friday, and Harden should settle back into point-Beard — letting the scoring monster lay in waiting. In his previous three games before Indiana, Harden averaged 22.3 points a game.
James Harden had an insane triple double tonight with 21 points, 15 assists, and 15 rebounds. 🤯

Not breaking 25 points in three straight games would amount to a drought in Houston, but in BK, he’s scoring in the flow, while also averaging 11 assists over that span.
A middling Orlando squad doesn’t require a supernova performance, so expect Harden to settle under that figure.
The pick: Harden UNDER 27.5 points (-120)
Does Mitchell Stay Hot?
The most surprising box score Thursday night was in Washington, as the lowly Wizards upended the league-leading Utah Jazz in a game that wasn’t really close. A late Utah surge made it a more aesthetically-pleasing 131-122 L.
The lone bright spot was the season-high 42 Donovan Mitchell put up. He hoisted 30 shots and played a season-high 39 minutes.

That doesn’t bode well as the Jazz are in Tampa for the second night of a back-to-back against the Toronto Raptors. But there are encouraging signs, including Mitchell going for 30+ in two of his last three games in such a scenario.
Toronto is also porous defensively, ranking 17th in points surrendered per game, and 21st in defensive rating. They’ve dropped six in a row, and even if their lineup will finally be whole Friday, there’s no telling how they will gel against a team that should be extra motivated to impose their will on a lesser-ranked opponent.
It’s that mentality that should drive Mitchell to put up big numbers.
The pick: Mitchell OVER 26.5 points (-110)
