The only thing we need to figure out now is which game to bet on. It’s no easy task since we’re looking at nine games across the entire association. The one that looks like the best candidate to me is the Dallas Mavericks vs Minnesota Timberwolves since it’s on ESPN. We’ll all get to watch it, being that it’s on National television, which is the way God intended.

We need to stick together at times like this, and gambling on a game we’re all watching feels like the perfect way to spend a Friday night. This could end up being the greatest night of our lives.

Mavericks/Timberwolves Pick #1 – Ayo Dosunmu Will Get His

The first thing that sticks out when looking at this game is the fact that the Minnesota Timberwolves are favored by 13.5 points in this thing. Every single prop bettor knows exactly what that means. We’ll need to look at the second units for value in this thing since it has blowout written all over it. That’s just how business is done in the NBA.

The first guy that came to mind is Ayo Dosunmu. The guy is brand new to the Timberwolves.

Dosunmu may be new to the Timberwolves, but he’s not new to basketball. He has had three games to settle into his new role, and at this point, I’m thinking he might be a dime dropper. His potential assists have been on the rise in each of his first three games with Minnesota, and he topped out last game with 12. That’s a big number for a guy who only has to clear four tonight.

My guess is Ayo gets plenty of assist opportunities tonight. He’ll see a Mavericks team that he just dropped eight dimes on last month as a member of the Chicago Bulls. Obviously, he’s with a different squad now, but that has to mean something. We just watched Austin Reaves hang six dimes on these same Mavs the last time they played. We only need four out of Ayo tonight. Feels easy.

Mavericks/Timberwolves Pick #2 – Naz Reid Will Grab A Board

The most fun way we bet this thing is to grab another plus-money bet from the Timberwolves. That way, all we need to do is hit one, and we’re profitable for the night. Obviously, we’re trying to hit both, and if we do, we’re Bezos since both of these are plus-money. Still, it’s nice to know we stuff a little cash in our pockets if only one comes home.

I’m thinking we stick to the Timberwolves second unit and go with Naz Reid. People are saying he’s better than Paolo Banchero.

I don’t know if he’s better than Paolo, but I do know he’s good. Most of the time we drop coin on him; we do it in the Made-Threes market, but tonight I’m thinking of rebounds. Rebounds are tough for guys in the second unit, but Reid might be different. He’s seen the Mavericks twice this season, and he’s gone for 8+ rebounds each time. He had 12 in 22 minutes back in November.

It’s not just a Naz issue for Dallas, though. It’s basically every center they play. On the season, they’ve allowed 13.7 rebounds per game to the position. That’s seventh-worst in the NBA. I’m thinking we see a ton of missed shots tonight since neither team played last night. When that happens, our boy Naz will grab at least eight of them. Feels easy.
