May 7th NBA Projected Starting Lineups

Pelicans vs 76ers Projected Lineups

Pelicans
VS
76ers
Lonzo Ball PG Ben Simmons
Eric Bledsoe SG Seth Curry
Naji Marshall SF Danny Green
James Johnson PF Tobias Harris
Jaxson Hayes C Joel Embiid

The Pelicans will be without their second leading scorer Brandon Ingram when they face the 76ers due to a knee sprain, while Steven Adams is doubtful thanks to a toe issue.

On the Philly side, the team is near full strength with the exception of Furkan Korkmaz, who will miss Friday’s game with an ankle injury.

Celtics vs Bulls Projected Starting Lineups

Celtics
VS
Bulls
Kemba Walker PG Coby White
Marcus Smart SG Zach LaVine
Aaron Nesmith SF Patrick Williams
Jayson Tatum PF Daniel Theis
Tristan Thompson C Nikola Vucevic

The big news in this matchup is the absence of the Celtics Jaylen Brown. Boston’s second leading scorer will miss his second straight game with an ankle injury, while starting center Robert Williams is questionable with a toe issue.

Chicago meanwhile, welcomed back Zach LaVine on Thursday after an 11-game absence, and enter this game with no key injuries.

Magic vs Hornets Projected Starting Lineups

Magic
VS
Hornets
Cole Anthony PG LaMelo Ball
Gary Harris SG Terry Rozier
 Dwayne Bacon SF Caleb Martin
Moritz Wagner PF P.J. Washington
Mo Bamba C Bismack Biyombo

The Magic have been decimated by injuries as starting center Wendell Carter Jr is out with an eye injury, while veterans Otto Porter Jr, Terrence Ross, and Michael Carter-Williams may not play for the rest of the season.

Charlotte enters this matchup still missing Gordon Hayward (foot), Cody Martin (ankle) and Miles Bridges (health protocols).

Timberwolves vs Heat Projected Starting Lineups

Timberwolves
VS
Heat
D’Angelo Murray PG Kendrick Nunn
Anthony Edwards SG Duncan Robinson
Josh Okogie SF Jimmy Butler
Jarred Vanderbilt PF Trevor Ariza
Karl-Anthony Towns C Bam Adebayo

The Heat are hoping to get both Jimmy Butler (illness) and Tyler Herro (foot) back in the lineup for Friday’s game versus the Timberwolves. The duo missed Miami’s loss on Tuesday versus Dallas, while Victor Oladipo remains out with a knee injury.

As for Minnesota, Jaden McDaniels will miss due to personal reasons.

Rockets vs Bucks Projected Starting Lineups

Rockets
VS
Bucks
Armoni Brooks PG Jrue Holiday
DaQuan Jeffries SG Donte DiVincenzo
Kenyon Martin Jr SF Khris Middleton
Kelly Olynyk PF Giannis Antetokounmpo
Christian Wood C Brook Lopez

It’s not a question of if Milwaukee will beat Houston, it’s by how much? The Bucks are one of the healthiest teams in the league, while the Rockets might have trouble fielding a starting five if Christian Wood (ankle) and Kelly Olynyk (ankle) can’t go. Both are currently listed as questionable, but Wood did sit out Houston’s last game on Wednesday against Philly.

Cavaliers vs Mavericks Projected Starting Lineups

Cavaliers
VS
Mavericks
Collin Sexton PG Luka Doncic
Damyean Dotson SG Josh Richardson
Isaac Okoro SF Tim Hardaway Jr.
Kevin Love PF Dorian Finney-Smith

Michael Porter Jr. SG Joe Ingles
Paul Millsap SF Bojan Bogdanovic
Aaron Gordon PF Royce O’Neale

As mentioned earlier, Conley won’t play for Utah, while Donovan Mitchell remains out with an ankle injury. Even down those two key pieces, the Jazz have still won three straight, and have a one game cushion atop the West.

Denver’s backcourt has been decimated by injury, with Jamal Murray (knee) out for the season, and Will Barton and Monte Morris both nursing hamstring injuries. The latest backcourt member to fall is PJ Dozier, who will sit out with a groin issue.

Knicks vs Suns Projected Starting Lineups

Knicks
VS
Suns
Elfrid Payton PG Chris Paul
Reggie Bullock SG Devin Booker
RJ Barrett SF Mikal Bridges
Julius Randle PF Torrey Craig
Nerlens Noel C Deandre Ayton

Aside from an ankle injury that is likely to keep guard Immanuel Quickley out, New York enters Friday in excellent health. The same can be said for Phoenix, who will only be missing Cam Johnson due to a wrist injury.

Lakers vs Trail Blazers Projected Starting Lineups

Lakers
VS
Trail Blazers
Alex Caruso PG Damian Lillard
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope SG CJ McCollum
Kyle Kuzma SF Norman Powell
Anthony Davis PF Robert Covington
Andre Drummond C Jusuf Nurkic

The defending champs are hurting. Not only is LeBron out, but third leading scorer Dennis Schroder will miss likely the rest of the regular season due to the league’s health and safety protocols. Anthony Davis meanwhile, left Thursday’s game against the Clippers due to back spasms, but says he plans to play versus the Trail Blazers.

Portland on the other hand, should be at near full strength, as only Norman Powell (knee) carries any kind of tag, but he is listed as probable.

Spurs
VS
Kings
Dejounte Murray PG Delon Wright
Devin Vassell SG Buddy Hield
DeMar DeRozan SF Maurice Harkless
