  • A sweet, sweet 6-game NBA slate awaits bettors on Thursday, November 18, 2021
  • One great way to get in on the action are NBA player props which are everywhere on a beautiful slate
  • See below to find out some of the best player props to bet on tonight

It’s Thursday night and while that means NFL football, it also means NBA basketball. Six games, 12 teams and countless players to pick through for gambling angles. We’re living the dream over here.

The bad news is we don’t have a lot on national television as it relates to this slate. But we’re battle tested and the fact that we have one game means we’ll be fine. NBA TV was smart enough to put it on at the perfect time as the Philadelphia 76ers and Denver Nuggets will go to battle at 9:00pm ET. That’s right about the time we’re settled into the football game and our wandering eye starts coming out. This is a genius move by the people at NBA TV.

There are more unforeseen roster changes in the NBA than any other sport. Because of that, many books are reluctant to post player prop lines too early in the day. For that reason, not all of the teams in action tonight are included in the table below. Scroll down to see the lines that are available and a couple of best bets.

Odds as of Nov 18th at FanDuel

Dillon Brooks is Back

When you break your hand, you can’t play basketball. That’s just science. It happened to Dillon Brooks, which caused him to miss the first 10 games of this season – but he’s back now. He’s already played 30 minutes in a game so his conditioning is right where we need it to be.

Being on the court is one thing, but actually performing is what we need from Brooks. From the looks of it, he’s fully back.

I love the FanDuel escalator props as they can be used to our advantages in certain situations. One such situation is when a player’s point prop is at 18.5 -104. Instead of taking him at -104, why not grab him at 20+ points for +122? We’re only talking one extra point here.

In Brooks’ case, this guy is a scorer. He takes a ton of shots. That’s just who he is. In his first two games back he took at least 17 attempts from the floor which is a lot considering he just came back. He’s reached at least 20 points in both of those first two games back and would have got to 20 in his last game had the Grizzlies not blown out the Houston Rockets.

If this game stays close tonight, and it should, Brooks should score at least 20 points.

  • The Pick: Dillon Brooks 20+ Points (+122)

Addicted to Tyrese Maxey

If you’ve followed me for any time then you know I am addicted to Tyrese Maxey. With all of the Covid issues the Philadelphia 76ers have had, playing time has really opened up for him. On top of that, he’s made the most of his opportunity.

A lot of people have said he’s even better for the 76ers than Ben Simmons. Many numbers say that as well.

This is another example of taking an escalator on FanDuel. Maxey is being listed at 16.5 points for -120 but going up to 20+ at +164 makes sense here. He’s gone over 20 points in three of his last four starts and the only reason he didn’t make it the fourth time was because the 76ers got waxed by the Utah Jazz. I think they can stay competitive tonight and if they do, Maxey should see at least 20 points.

  • The Pick: Tyrese Maxey 20+ Points (+164)
