- Luka Doncic, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jimmy Butler and LeBron James should all be in action
- Read below for the best player prop bets from Tuesday’s games
Only 10 NBA teams are playing on Tuesday night. It’s an off-night for much of the league, but we are still treated to a fair portion of star power. Giannis Antetokounmpo leads the Milwaukee Bucks against the Detroit Pistons, who should have Cade Cunningham available.
The strong-starting Heat take on Luka Doncic’s Dallas Mavericks, and the relentless Utah Jazz host De’Aaron Fox and the Kings.
Still playing without Zion Williamson, the Pelicans are 12-point underdogs for their trip to face the Suns. The Lakers and Rockets matchup for the second time in just a few days.

Allen Takes the Shots
Khris Middleton, Donte DiVincenzo, Jrue Holiday and Brook Lopez are out for the Bucks’ trip to Detroit. Offseason acquisition Grayson Allen has rapidly become Milwaukee’s number two option. Allen has taken at least 10 shots in every game this season, and saw an uptick in his usage with 14 shot attempts in the loss to Utah.
Starting alongside the Antetokounmpo brothers, George Hill and Pat Connaughton, Allen took 10 of his 14 shots from beyond the arc. He’s nine-for-19 from deep over his last two games. Always regarded as a good perimeter shooter, the former Duke wing is a perfect fit next to Giannis.

There’s a reliability to Allen’s involvement in Milwaukee’s offense. He will get a steady diet of open perimeter shots, and could have more of an opportunity to attack off the dribble with so many other starters out.
Milwaukee also faces a Detroit defense which has been woeful at defending the three this year. While teams aren’t taking a huge number of threes against them, they are draining 43% of them when they do get a shot off.
Bucks' latest injury report for tomorrow's game:
Giannis (knee)- Probable
Grayson Allen (knee)- Probable
Rodney Hood (hand)- Probable
Donte DiVincenzo (ankle)- Out
Jrue Holiday (ankle)- Out
Brook Lopez (back)- Out
Khris Middleton (health & safety protocol)- Out— Bucks Lead (@BucksLead) November 1, 2021
Allen has only gone over this total in three of seven games, but that only tells part of the story. He’s taken at least eight three-pointers in each game this season. With so many players missing, he should get into the teens in total shot attempts, and for a shooter of his caliber, that makes this an easy over to back.
- Pick: Grayson Allen over 14.5 points (-108)
Gobert Dominates the Kings
Sacramento is 28th in opponent shot rate at the rim. They are bottom 10 in defensive rebounding percentage, and sit around league average in offensive rebounding. This points towards a dominant night for Rudy Gobert, even after the Frenchman only scored nine points against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Gobert is the league leader in rebounds per game at 17.2. He’s far clear of Jonas Valanciunas in second. Gobert is also shooting over 72% from the field on north of seven attempts per game and getting to the line a career-high 8.3 times per contest. His 72% from the stripe is also the best mark of his career.
The Kings are one of the worst teams in the league at defending putbacks, a Gobert specialty.
Basketball-reference’s NBA MVP Award Tracker:
1. Rudy Gobert
2. Stephen Curry
3. Jimmy Butler
4. Zach LaVine
5. Giannis Antetokounmpo
6. Karl-Anthony Towns
7. Nikola Jokic
8. Trae Young
9. Julius Randle
10. DeMar DeRozan— NBA Central (@TheNBACentral) October 28, 2021
The 28.5 line for points and rebounds might seem high. Gobert averaged just 27.8 across those categories last season, but he’s increased that total to 33.5 in 2021-22, and he’s exceeded this total in five of the first six games. In fact, he’s gone over 35 in four of those contests.
A blowout in Utah’s favor is the biggest risk to this prop. Even with that concern, this is still a worthwhile bet, as Gobert has managed to post massive numbers even without playing over 33 minutes this season.
- Pick: Rudy Gobert over 28.5 points and rebounds (-106)
