Odds as of October 30th at Fanduel.

Gobert Dominates The Boards

The Utah Jazz are off to a 4-0 start and what’s been most impressive is the contributions from the entire rotation. Rudy Gobert in particular is lighting it up offensively right now, averaging 18 points and a ridiculous 17.8 rebounds while shooting 71% from the field. We all know that Gobert is an absolute force to be reckoned with in the paint. But almost 20 boards per game? That’s unheard of. Whether he can keep that up for the entire campaign remains to be seen, but it’s definitely something to keep an eye on.

The Frenchman has now hit the over in boards in every game so far. Also, Saturday’s opponent in the Chicago Bulls might be 4-1, but they’re 30th in the league in rebounds per contest. On top of that, they just lost Patrick Williams, one of their best frontcourt players, to a season-ending wrist injury. That being said, this is an outing where Gobert will feast on the glass. Take the over with confidence.

Pick: Rudy Gobert Over 13.5 Rebounds (-114)

Randle Dropping Dimes

Julius Randle fully proved to be the ultimate weapon last season en route to winning the Most Improved Player of the Year. The New York Knicks star picked up right where he left off, averaging 23 points, 12.2 boards, and 7.0 assists per night in 2021/22. While all these numbers are easy on the eyes, his playmaking, in particular, has been fantastic so far.

Randle’s hit the over in dimes in four of five games this season and against the Bulls on Friday, he dished out nine assists. It’s a part of his game that’s improved a ton over the last two campaigns and with more scorers around him now in Evan Fournier and Kemba Walker, it’s just more reason for the former Kentucky standout to get his teammates involved. As for Saturday, the Pelicans aren’t exactly great defensively and allow almost 24 assists per contest, which is 18th in the Association.

All this facilitating from Randle is no fluke. I fully expect him to average more assists this season than last. That being said, take advantage of the over here.

Pick: Julius Randle Over 5.5 Assists (-115)
