The Phoenix Suns continue a difficult trip East when they face the Philadelphia 76ers at 7pm ET Tuesday at the Wells Fargo Center.

This will be second game of a journey in which the Suns will face five of the top six teams in the Eastern Conference.

Phoenix (41-16) is second in the Western Conference, 1.5 games behind the Utah Jazz (43-15). The Suns have won five of their last six games and 12 of their past 14, including edging the Milwaukee Bucks 128-127 in overtime Monday as three-point underdogs.

The 76ers (39-18) lead the Eastern Conference by a half-game over the Brooklyn Nets (39-19). However, Philadelphia had its four-game winning streak ended Monday by the Golden State Warriors 107-96 as a 4.5-point home favorite.

Suns Win Nail Biter

Devin Booker’s free throw with 0.3 seconds left in OT gave the Suns the win Monday night over the Bucks. Booker finished with 24 points and three steals.

Chris Paul had 22 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists. It was Paul’s 18th double-double of the season but just the second time in the last five games he scored in double figures.

Mikal Bridges scored 21 points as he made 8-of-11 shots from the field, including 5-of-7 from three-point range. Bridges had scored a total of 20 points in the previous three game.

Deandre Ayton notched his seventh double-double in the last nine games and 31st this season with 20 points and 13 rebounds. Like Bridges, Ayton connected on 8-of-11 field goal attempts.

Paul made a bit of history as he moved into fifth place on the NBA’s all-time assist list with 1,045. He passed Magic Johnson.

The game was tightly contested with 24 lead changes and 16 ties.

Dario Saric (ankle) is listed as questionable after making his first start of the season Monday.

76ers Burned by Steph

Like most opponents recently, the 76ers had no answer for the Warriors’ Stephen Curry on Monday night. Curry scored 49 points, drained 10 threes and got Mike Breen excited.

Meanwhile, the 76ers had an off night offensively. They shot just 39.3% (35-of-89).

Joel Embiid led the 76ers with 28 points, 13 rebounds and eight assists. It was his third double-double in a row and 25th of the season.

While Embiid had an 8-of-21 shooting night from the field, he did make 11 of 14 free throws.

The 76ers played without All-Star Ben Simmons (illness) and second-leading scorer Tobias Harris (sore right knee). Both are listed as questionable for Wednesday.

Seth Curry added 15 points and five assists as the 76ers forced the Warriors into 16 turnovers. Danny Green and Matisse Thybulle had three steals each.

George Hill made his 76ers’ debut and had two points, two assists and two blocked shots in 17+ minutes. The veteran guard was acquired from the Oklahoma City Thunder at the trade deadline March 25 but had been rehabbing from right thumb surgery.

The 76ers were the losing side against the spread for a third straight game.

Suns on 3-Game Streak

The Suns have won the last three games in the series, including 120-111 on Feb. 13 as 1.5-point favorites.

Booker scored 36 points as the Suns shot a red-hot 60.8% (48-of-79) from the field. Paul added 18 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds and Saric chipped in with 15 points.

The 76ers were paced by Embiid’s 35 points and eight rebounds. Harris contributed 18 points and five assists and Simmons also scored 18 points.

While the 76ers have some health questions, look for them to be motivated to bounce back from Monday’s poor performance against an opponent that also has championship hopes.

The Pick: 76ers +1 (+110)
