Odds as of March 26th at FanDuel

Shooters Shoot

One kid that has taken over the tournament is Buddy Boeheim from Syracuse. He’s averaging 27.5 points per game in the tournament and he is firing away from three-point land. So far, in two games, Boeheim has managed to take 23 shots from beyond the arc.

He’s not only taking them, but he’s making them too. The kid is a walking bucket.

The Houston Cougars were one of the best teams in the nation at defending the three-pointer this season. Opponents could only manage a 29.3% success rate from deep but things have changed in the tournament.

Just last game the 286th best three-point shooting team in the country hit almost half of their 16 long-range attempts.

If Boeheim takes more than 10 attempts from distance, he is a good bet to hit at least four of them.

The Pick: Buddy Boeheim Over 3.5 Threes Made (+134)

Obanor Looks to ‌Keep Dancing

The Oral Roberts Golden Eagles have fought their way into the Sweet 16 but they aren’t done yet.

This team is no stranger to big games as they “punched up” all season as their non-conference strength of schedule was fourth-best in the nation. They’ve already played this Arkansas team once and they will certainly be eager to do it again.

One player that is no stranger to Arkansas coach Eric Musselman is Kevin Obanor. Musselman recruited Obanor when he was at Nevada so he knows what this kid can do on the court. The rest of us are just now finding out that Obanor is a beast and can score from anywhere on the floor.

So far in the tournament, Obanor has been letting it fly from behind the three-point line. He only averaged 4.3 attempts per game from long range during the season but in two tournament games, he has tossed up 19 attempts. As a result, he’s sunk at least four threes in each of the first two games. Look for him to do the same against Arkansas on Saturday.

The Pick: Kevin Obanor Over 1.5 Threes Made (-140)
