Huskies vs Ducks Betting Trends

Sunday night’s matchup is the first of two scheduled meetings between these conference rivals this season. The Ducks have dominated in head-to-head action with Washington, posting five straight wins, capped by an 86-74 victory as 121.5-point chalk in the Huskies’ last visit almost a year ago.

Oregon has defeated the Huskies in 11 of 12 overall clashes since January 2015, and have gone 8-1 over their past nine home dates. However, the Huskies hold the edge at the sportsbooks, going 5-2 against the spread in their past seven visits. They have also covered in five of seven road matchups with the Ducks while pegged as double-digit underdogs.

The Huskies have also proved to be a reliable bet in recent weeks, covering in each of the wins during their current 3-0 run. They also currently enjoy a 3-1 ATS run on the road, all as betting underdogs.

Washington’s current surge has also lifted them into the thick of the Pac-12 standings, where they sit deadlocked with the Ducks at 4-2, just 1.5 games back of first-place Arizona.

Washington Huskies Recent Results

The Huskies maintained their recent road warrior ways with Thursday’s victory over Oregon State. Washington had their hands full early on against the Beavers, and found themselves trailing by two at the half. However, the Huskies turned in yet another solid performance after recess to secure an 82-72 win to easily pay out as 3-point road underdogs.

The win comes on the heels of their solid performance last week while visiting Stanford, where they seized on the Cardinal’s slow start to build an 18-point halftime lead on their way to a 67-64 upset win as slim 1-point chalk.

Terrell Brown Jr. continues to provide the spark for the Huskies attack. The senior guard racked up 27 points along with six rebounds in this week’s victory over the Beavers, and has now drained an average of 24.3 points per game over his past three game appearances.

Oregon Ducks Seek 6th-Straight Win

The Ducks are riding high after posting back-to-back wins over nationally ranked opponents. After storming back from a five-point halftime deficit to eke out an 84-81 road win over No. 3 UCLA on January 13, the team continued to impress on the road with a stunning 79-69 upset victory over No. 5 USC last weekend.

Oregon shooters have been on fire during the team’s current five-game win streak, converting on 46.9% of field goal attempts over that stretch. The Ducks also went a sensational 10-for-21 from beyond the arc during their victory over the Trojans. Oregon’s steady play with the ball is reflected in the KenPom ratings, where the Ducks are pegged at No. 51 overall, and at No. 28 in adjusted offensive efficiency.

Will Richardson has powered the Ducks’ offence during their current surge. The senior guard is coming off a season-high 28-point performance in last week’s win over USC, and has averaged 20 points per game over his past four outings.

Huskies vs Ducks Prediction

Currently playing their best ball of the season, the Ducks are well positioned to extend their current win streak to six games.

However, they must avoid a letdown against a lesser opponent in the wake of their recent success against top flight opponents.

The Pick: Huskies +11.5 (-110); OVER 142.5 (-110)
