  • Read below for the best ATS picks for Week 11 of the college football season

The 2020 college football season is heading into its 11th week, and there are some big games on tap for Saturday, November 14th. Notre Dame will look to stay unbeaten when they travel to Boston College, while SMU aims for a big road win against Tulsa.

Over in the Pac-12, USC is listed as heavy favorites over Arizona after narrowly beating Arizona State in their season opener. Can Kedon Slovis and company cover the spread this time?

Here are three ATS picks to consider for Week 11.

No. 2 Notre Dame vs Boston College Odds

Team Spread Moneyline Total
No. 2 Notre Dame Fighting Irish -13.5 (-114) -670 0 48.5 (-112)
Boston College Eagles +13.5 (-107) +460 U 48.5 (-109)

Eagles Keep It Close Against Irish

Notre Dame has the potential for a letdown game in Week 11 after securing a huge upset win over Clemson last weekend. The Irish will be taking on a very solid Boston College team that has covered the spread in three of its four home games this season.

The Eagles are led under center by Notre Dame transfer Phil Jurkovec, who has thrown for 2,083 yards and 15 touchdowns with four interceptions this season. He’s developed great chemistry with wide receivers Zay Flowers and Hunter Long, who have both accounted for over 500 yards.

BC has proved throughout this season that they can hang with the top teams in the conference. They almost knocked off Clemson in Week 9 and lost by only four points to North Carolina earlier in the year.

This game will be even more special as the team will wear their “Red Bandanna” uniforms in honor of fallen 9/11 hero Welles Crowther.

The Fighting Irish should pull out the win, but the Eagles have the offense to hang around. BC turned in a strong defensive showing against Syracuse last weekend and have been one of the nation’s best teams when it comes to forcing turnovers (14). They’ll come up with a few big plays to keep it close against an Irish team that won’t have its full mojo on the road following a big home win.

Pick: Boston College Eagles +13.5 (-107)

No. 20 USC vs Arizona Week 11 Odds

Team Spread Moneyline Total
No. 20 USC Trojans -14.5 (-110) -590 0 67.5 (-110)
Arizona Wildcats +14.5 (-110) +380 U 67.5 (-110)

Trojans Offense Overpowers Wildcats Defense

USC isn’t getting as many points as they should be in Week 11 after narrowly avoiding an upset loss to Arizona State in their season opener. The Trojans scored two touchdowns in the final three minutes to rally from a 13-point deficit and defeat the Sun Devils by a 28-27 score.

While USC wasn’t able to cover the 10.5-point spread in their opener, there’s reason to think they’ll bounce back in a big way against one of the worst teams in the conference on Saturday. The Trojans quick-temp offense ran a whopping 95 plays against ASU, and QB Kedon Slovis looked excellent as he went 40-of-55 for 381 yards and two touchdowns.

There were understandably some first-game jitters for USC, as they shot themselves in the foot with three fumbles and one interception against the Sun Devils. They should be be much more poised in game two, especially against an Arizona team that is playing their first game of the season and coming off a tough 4-8 season.

USC has won seven straight games against Arizona, and Slovis carved up this secondary in a 41-14 victory last season. This is a rebuilding Wildcats team that had one of the worst pass defenses in FBS last season and also lost their top running back to the NFL. The Trojans will clean up the mistakes from their opener, and Slovis will use his talented receiving core to carve up this secondary and easily cover the spread.

Pick: USC Trojans -14.5 (-110)

No. 19 SMU vs Tulsa Odds

Team Spread Moneyline Total
No. 19 SMU Mustangs +2.5 (-103) +118 0 64.5 (-105)
Tulsa Golden Hurricane -2.5 (-118) -143 U 64.5 (-115)

Mustangs Cover Against Tulsa

SMU is looking to keep their conference title hopes alive when they travel to Tulsa in Week 11 to take on the 3-1 Golden Hurricane at Chapman Stadium. The Mustangs lone loss this season came against an unbeaten Cincinnati squad that has been blowing out opponents.

SMU has a lethal offense led by QB Shane Buechele, who has thrown for 2,581 yards and 20 touchdowns with just three interceptions this season. The Mustangs also have one of the best running back in the conference in Ulysses Bentley IV, who has accounted for 774 yards and two touchdowns.

Tulsa last took the field on Oct. 30 against East Carolina when they turned the ball over three times and barely escaped with a 34-30 win as 17-point home favorites. The Golden Hurricane have had their season greatly impacted by COVID-19 and they could be rusty against the Mustangs due to the cancelled games. On the other hand, SMU is coming off back-to-back convincing victories against Navy and Temple in which they averaged 49 points.

Tulsa has a solid defense, but SMU has been scoring on strong defenses all season. Tulsa QB Zach Smith has thrown an interception in every game this season, and the Hurricane doesn’t have the weapons to keep pace with this high-temp Mustangs offense. SMU has also been solid defensively, only allowing 29 points per game.

SMU is 4-0 on the road this season and won’t be dealing with any rust concern. The Mustangs high-powered offense will take control and the defense will come up with a few big plays against this turnover-prone Tulsa offense. SMU won this matchup last season, and they’ll do it again this time around.

Pick: SMU Mustangs +2.5 (-103)
