Saturday’s battle between the #8 TCU Horned Frogs (6-0, 4-1-1 ATS) and the visiting #17 Kansas State Wildcats (5-1, 4-1-1 ATS) is a showdown of the last two unbeaten teams left standing in Big 12 Conference play.

Both schools are 3-0 in Big 12 play. TCU is 3-0 straight up at home. Kansas State is 2-0 straight up on the road.

Wildcats Count On Ground Game

For Kansas State, it all starts in the backfield. The Wildcats ranked seventh in the nation in rushing. They’re averaging 244.5 yards per game. Running back Deuce Vaughn (110.2 ypg) and QB Adrian Martinez (91.0 ypg) are a dynamic duo in the Wildcats rushing attack.

Nebraska transfer Martinez has yet to throw an interception, but that’s mostly due to the fact that the Wildcats seldom throw the football. They’re 119th in FBS in passing offense (158.8 ypg). At Nebraska, he threw 20 interceptions and fumbled 30 times. Martinez is showing three fumbles this season.

Kansas State vs TCU State Prediction

Sonny Dykes is just the second TCU coach to open his first season in charge 6-0 and he’s the first to do so since 1929. TCU will be taking the field Saturday ranked in the top 10 for the first time since 2017.

Scoring 45.8 points per game, the Horned Frogs could almost cover the over on this game all by themselves.
