On Saturday, the surging #20 Notre Dame Fighting Irish take a trip to Maryland to face Navy in Week 11. This game can be seen on ABC and will start at 12 PM ET at M&T Bank Stadium. Find the Notre Dame vs Navy prediction below.

ND is coming off their most impressive victory of the season so far, beating ACC powerhouse Clemson 34-15 at home. Meanwhile, Navy lost 20-10 to the Cincinnati Bearcats on Saturday in a rather disappointing offensive performance.

ND is a heavy 15.5-point favorite for Saturday’s road matchup with moneyline ods of -910. Navy comes back at college football odds of +575. The total is set at a relatively low 40 points.

This rivalry has been all Notre Dame. They’ve won nine of the last 10 meetings, taking down the Midshipmen 34-6 last season.

ND Coming in Confident

The Fighting Irish were unranked before Sunday’s rankings came out, coming in at #20 in the nation after their phenomenal beatdown of Clemson. Overall, Notre Dame just dominated the Tigers and made a serious statement in the process. While quarterback Drew Pyne threw for just 85 yards, the running back room truly thrived, racking up 263 yards on the ground. Logan Diggs and Audric Estime both had field days.

Defensively, ND also showed up in a big way. They blocked a punt and returned it for a touchdown and also intercepted both DJ Uiagalelei and Cade Klubnik, ultimately scoring on both turnovers. Navy shouldn’t be any match for Marcus Freeman’s squad, who are dripping with confidence at the moment. Plus, ND is 2-1 on the road.

Does Navy Have Any Chance?

The Midshipmen are just 3-6 on the year and struggle to score the football. They’re a bottom-25 offense, putting up just 341.4 yards per game. That’s 205th in the country. Navy looked abysmal last Saturday against the Bearcats, registering a mere 84 passing yards and only 260 in total. Their quarterbacks attempted just six throws in total, with the rushing attack doing most of the damage, although it didn’t translate to many points.

Navy is usually poor in this matchup and owns a 1-4 record at home, which isn’t a good sign for what’s to come here. They’re also 5-4 ATS. One area that could keep them in this contest is the rushing defense, where the Midshipmen rank 12th in the nation with only 88 yards allowed per game. If Navy is able to contain ND on the ground, perhaps they have a chance.

Notre Dame vs Navy Prediction

I personally think Notre Dame will have no problem covering here. If we look at the past three games between these two programs, the Fighting Irish have won by an average of 27.3 points. They’re fresh off their biggest win of 2022. Navy isn’t exactly a team that is capable of stopping them. The spread looks good. Also, the over was hit in all three of those meetings. Splash some cash there, too.

Pick: Notre Dame -15.5 (-110), Over 40 points (-110)
