Alabama vs Ole Miss Early Odds & Prediction

Two losses in the last three games by Alabama (7-2) has caused this matchup in Oxford to lose some of its luster. Yet it is still an important game for the Crimson Tide and Ole Miss (8-1), who are both chasing LSU in the SEC West.

Alabama is an early 11-point favorite over LSU.

Alabama was edged by LSU 32-31 in overtime Saturday on the road. It was a wild game that included six lead changes before LSU won it in OT on a two-point conversion pass from Jayden Daniels to Mason Taylor.

Bryce Young threw for 328 yards and one touchdown for Alabama. He was also intercepted once.

Ole Miss had the weekend off. The Rebels won at Texas A&M 31-28 on Oct. 29 after having its hopes of unbeaten season end a week earlier with a loss to LSU.

While Alabama might be out of the CFP picture, its two losses have been a total of four points. It’s still hard to pick against the Tide.

Pick: Alabama -11 (-110)

TCU vs Texas Early Odds & Prediction

TCU (9-0) can take a big step toward wrapping up the Big 12 regular-season championship when it goes on the road to play Texas (6-3) in Austin. The Horned Frogs hold a two-game lead over the Longhorns, Baylor and Kansas State with three games to play. Texas is favored over TCU by 6.5 points.

TCU kept its record perfect by beating Texas Tech 34-24 on Saturday at home. Derius Davis scored a touchdown on an 82-yard punt return and Kendre Miller ran for the go-ahead TD with 13:25 remaining.

Davis caught one of Max Duggan’s two touchdown passes in the fourth quarter. Miller had 158 yards on 21 carries, the sixth time in the last seven games he has gone over 100.

Texas notched a 34-27 road win at Kansas State for its fourth win in the last five games. Bijan Robinson led the way with 209 yards rushing and one touchdown and Quinn Ewers had 197 yards passing and two TDs.

Xavier Worthy grabbed two touchdown receptions for the Longhorns and Roschon Johnson ran for a score. Texas built a 31-10 halftime lead then held off Kansas State’s second-half rally.

TCU’s record is impressive, but the Horned Frogs have also led a charmed life this season with close wins. Looking for Texas to hand the Frogs their first loss.

Pick: Texas -6.5 (-110)

That’s Outta Line

Miami is having a miserable season in Mario Cristobal’s first season at his alma mater. The Hurricanes dropped to 4-5 after being blown out by Florida State 45-3 at home and travel to Georgia Tech on Saturday.

Georgia Tech is also 4-5, which isn’t so bad considering Geoff Collins was fired as coach following a 1-3 start.

Yet it still doesn’t feel quite right that the Engineers are 4.5-point favorites, even playing at home. The line should be lower based on talent alone.
