Ohio State Buckeyes Obliterate Wisconsin

CJ Stroud threw five touchdown passes, running back Miyan Williams ran for two more, and the Ohio State Buckeyes breezed past Wisconsin on Saturday night. The favorite in the Heisman Trophy odds, Stroud looked prodigious in the Horseshoe on Saturday night. The junior quarterback expertly navigated the pocket and delivered strikes to his stable of receivers all night.

The Buckeyes were once again without star receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who remains sidelined with a hamstring injury. Luckily, the offense didn’t miss a beat without him, as Ohio State scored on each of their first four possessions. Ohio State led 31-7 at the half as the Badgers capitulated under the Buckeyes onslaught.

Impressively, both Miyan Williams and Treveyon Henderson ran for over one hundred yards. Each of them pummelled a helpless Badgers defense throughout the night. Wisconsin defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard’s unit looked helpless.

Ohio State welcomes an awful Rutgers squad to the Horseshoe next weekend. With their odds sitting at +230, you’ll want to secure your bet before their CFB Title odds increase even more.

Second-favorite Alabama laid the hammer to Vanderbilt, winning 55-3 at home. Betting favorite Georgia had considerably more trouble with Kent State, winning by just 17 (39-22) as 44.5-point favorites. They surrendered 12 more points in this game than they had all season. But it wasn’t enough to move the Bulldogs from the top of the board.

The next two favourites to win the college football national championship, however, clung on by a thread on Saturday. Clemson quarterback D.J. Uiagalelei threw for 375 yards and 5 touchdowns to lead the Tigers to a double-overtime victory over Wake Forest. Clemson took a 14-0 lead before the high-scoring Demon Deacons offense woke up. Wake Forest had Clemson in a heap of trouble in this one, as the Tigers defense looked vulnerable for much of the second half. Clemson falling from +1100 to +1600 to win the national championship isn’t a surprise after this performance.

Similarly, USC needed a clutch late-drive to come away with a victory at Oregon State on Saturday night. What was projected to be a shootout turned into a defensive battle. The previously undefeated Beavers took the lead with 4:41 remaining before USC quarterback Caleb Williams led a clutch game-winning drive.

Williams ran for a key 4th-down conversion and threw a 21-yard touchdown pass to Jordan Addison to complete the comeback. The Trojans dropped from +1200 to +1600 in the CFB Title odds after the shaky performance.
