The 3 point road favorites, Houston Texans look to keep their winning streak going as they face the Detroit Lions, this Thanksgiving Thursday at 12:30 PM ET at Ford Field.
The Texans suffered to beat the Jaguars at Reliant stadium, but they were able to come from behind and finish the game strong. “All the good teams find a way to win, no matter if it’s ugly, pretty or whatever,” Andre Johnson said. “In the win column, it either says ‘W’ or ‘L.’ They don’t ask how you got it done”.
Houston wasn’t expecting this game to be that close, and that made the critics go after them.
“Something we can look back on as we move through this,” said Matt Schaub who was 43-of-55 Sunday against the Jaguars for 527 yards, five touchdowns and two interceptions., “because there are going to be games like that are not always going to be a two- or three-score lead in the fourth quarter, where you’re trying to run the clock out”.
The Lions had another loss against the Packers, even when Green Bay had one of their worst recent games. “I have to play better than that to give us a chance to win,” said Mathew Stafford after throwing one touchdown and two interceptions.
Detroit is 2-5 ATS in its last 7 games at home, and Houston is 4-1 SU in its last 5 games on the road. The Lions failed to cover as +3.5 dogs against the Packers last week.
